Dave

You chalk a circle on the wall of one of the rooms aboard the Voyager and encircle it with runes, then cut a tiny scrap of leather from your coat.  The circle changes into an apparent hole to your workshop as soon as you pop the scrap of leather into it.  You unscrew a steel bolt from the ship's wall (one of a hundred) and pass into your workshop.  Amongst the various scattered pieces of equipment and workbenches there, you see the archway corresponding to the portal to the main island of grey sand as well.  Weird.  You set up a second portal using the dirigible bolt, that opens into the same room you left.

You head over to your bedroom, where you keep your hats, and find yourself sleeping on your bed.  Weirder.  You look drained, and withered - you haven't actually eaten or drank anything in the last three days.  You should probably wake up and do that.  You take the opportunity to turn seven armoured chapeaus into anti-madness hats while you're here.


Hastul

You give a command to one of the kill-bots, who punches instructions into a dashboard filled with buttons, levers and wheels.  After a few moments, it signals confirmation.  The home plane's location has been recorded.

[Sanity: 6, Malevolence: 10]  The Voyager shudders from ballast to balloon as the warp drive engages.  The dark void around you inverts into a brilliant white, then everything implodes into a tiny point, yourself included.  A timeless eternity later, everything inflates back to its usual proportions, and you are somewhere else.

You are floating in a pink sky, near some clouds of pink, soft-looking material that are almost certainly not water vapour.  They could be wool, you aren't sure.  You take a glance over the edge of the airship's railings and see a green and pleasant land beneath you.  Fields and fields of some sort of gelatinous green substance roll across the landscape, pierced here and there by mountains of what appear to be chocolate, covered in thick white icing near the tops.  Herds of gelatine beasts cross the landscape, rubbery creatures with tusks of what appear to be rock sugar, sharpened to deadly points.  Tributaries of fizzy orange liquid flow down from the mountains and gather into a large river that runs over the horizon to some unseen sea.  The only sign of any civilisation is what appears to be a domed building build upon neatly arranged columns over a white foundation.  It looks like it should be marble, but you're pretty sure this is marshmallow.

There is a certain amount of beeping from the warp drive (and one merrily snoozing cat), which upon investigation has gone dark.  The screen next to the drive cheerfully informs you that the drive is Enriching Dilithium.  Estimated Completion Time: 9,846 minutes.

Head down to the ground. Begin wandering the area. Head for the building in search of peoples to subjugate. Try to remain as incongruously brooding as possible.

Wake up, grab a quick snack, go back to sleep.
We're not even a little stuck. Sure we need get the tank back for essence but I've got a quick relay back to the island.

You reappear next to your sleeping self.  Weird, but apparently your dream self is anchored to wherever you last left it.  Perk of Lucid Dreaming, you suppose.  Just before you return through the portal, you happen to glance out the window.

The city beyond your manor is looking a bit different than usual.  More fire and collapsed buildings.  Apparently a war was declared while you were asleep?  You aren't sure.


Hastul

The Voyager's conventional engines are working just fine, so the ship lowers down to the ground and you get out.  Some of the candy-cane tusked beasts make territorial gronking sounds at you, but you stride past them in a blur of inscrutability.  The inside of the gazebo is bare, save for a white marshmallow plinth bearing what at first glance appears to be a massive sapphire of incalculable value, and at second glance appears to be a gumdrop.  No people, though.

Grey

You headboop one of the candy boars, who gronks angrily and does his best to impale you on his Blackpool rock tusks.  You evade him with catlike (catful?) grace and get distracted by a small gumdrop bush.  You bump your nose against it, freak out, flip backwards and get ensnared by a morass of strawberry lace vines that drag you kicking and mewling underground.

You are dropped into a massive chasm of chocolate cliffs, landing on a bed of soft liquorice.  You are now lost.


Hastul

After several hours of wandering, you cross over the ridge of a hill and find two signs of sentient life.  The first is a vaguely Greco-Roman civilisation full of soft sugarplum people living in white marshmallow houses.  Many of the buildings are gooey and on fire, and a legion of sugarplum soldiers have emerged, wearing hard candy armour and wielding Blackpool rock spears and swords.

Far above them, a pair of titanic toddlers are stomping around the city, scooping up platoons of soldiers and shoving them into their mouths.

Bring up the mansions forcefield and faraday cage (to prevent teleportation) and check the maginet to see what's going on. Then go see what that cat's up to.

Moving around the mansion, everything is in an utter state.  Something has torn apart furniture, ransacked book-cases and made off with a lot of your tech, including your main scrying setup.  You get to the forcefield and faraday controls in the west tower, which are mercifully untouched, and engage the mansion's shields.  A grid of ionised air forms around the house, along with the shimmering faint blue of a force cage.  You should be safe from any attacks now.

It takes you the better part of an hour to jerry rig a scrying setup to get onto the magenet, but when you do the news is concerning.  Over the last week some sort of terrifying sapient lizard beast has appeared in the nearby city, cracked the city's automated defence systems and turned them in on themselves.  It is now ruling the wreckage with an iron claw, as a highly militarised cult has evolved to serve their reptilian god-king, restore order to the streets through extreme prejudice and resist the efforts of the national army to reclaim the city.


Grey

You wander through the chocolate chasm for some time, your eyes adjusted to the faint light given off by luminescent chocolate truffles n the walls.  Eventually you come upon what appears to be a village of liquorice trolls, living in caves cut into the chasm sides.  Several are gathered around a big pot, stewing what look like the dismembered parts of sugarplum people in some sort of orange soda.

You are uncertain.  Your goggles appear to work as enchanted, but then your entire form right now is a manifestation of dream magic.

Enter Stealth mode. Smell for the scent of Outside. Head that way. Else, take any routes upward where there is suitable cover, or the route is noticeably empty of big dangerous beings.

Make some regular portals to and from the main island. Wake up. Dissolve the Arch. Make a necklace that when activated will locate all reptiles in a five mile radius and turn their veins to fire, their blood to petrol and their bones to like soggy cardboard or something.

((Sorry I haven't been posting, I'm on vacation, and I don't have internet very often at the moment. If necessary, auto me for the time being.))

Hastul smiles, not that any would see it. Using essence, he shapes a long sword of flame and gold, comforted by the weight of it. It was a clone of his blade at home, Sakuur. Enchanted by powerful magic lost to the ages. This mimicry likely wasn't as powerful as the original, as he was trying to conserve essence to an extent, but it would do for now. Still grinning, he stalks forward, the light from the blade flickering menacingly across his cloak, staff stowed inside it. Using his control over elementary physics, he flies towards the massive babies, intending to strike them down.

Should he be victorious, he intends to speak to the people, proclaiming that he is a god, and that he shall be worshiped as such, lest his power turn on them.
