I have to deal with my aunt tomorrow. This lady used to beat the shit out of me when I was a kid, she would sit on me to stop me from fighting back (she was maybe 350 pounds.)

Every. fucking. holiday.

I could stomach her if she didn't feel the need to tell me the entire story of whatever boring book she has read or just talk incessantly.

I get that's she's alone and she's family, but I just wish like, I could have a separate day with my parents that didn't involve her.

I am currently doing my best to avoid interacting with family members. Unfortunately, personal ethics require me to be polite when people speak to me, so it's still thoroughly exhausting.

Largely just internet. We're preparing to move, so we aren't exactly in the holiday spirit at home. Our closest relatives are a six hour roadtrip away, barring my jackass step-family, and my little brother, who's going to visit said step-family with my ex-step-dad (Dear god so many hyphens). We were going to go to my current step-dad's place, but he got called out for work, so most of our festivities will be held on the 26th or 27th.

I'm going to family with my parents until probably 9 pm (it's 11:30 am now). First to my grandparents on my dad's side, and then to the grandparents on my mom's side. Sigh :/

Oh, huh. Today's Christmas. Umm...just checking bay12, at the moment. Re-reading Marooned in Morrowind. Toying with the idea of resuming the story, but it was put on hold because DF_40 was released and suggestions dried up. This being Christmas there probably wouldn't be a lot of readers right now either. Plus I expect to have a busy January and it would be awful to resume a game that's been on hiatus for a couple months then immediately be busy a week later. We'll see.

After a long stay at my dad's place, I now return to my mom's for a second christmas! After which I get to be "anti-social" until dinner by playing games until dinner at my grandparents with hopefully my entire family on my moms side.

I'm always thankful at this time of year that we don't have any extended family living nearby. Solstice bonfire and booze was last Sunday, so today is just a free day off work. Might take a walk later...

I'm just chilling out, fuming at the mechanics who should have fixed my car several days ago and fuming at my car for being a terrible money pit.

Hopefully, I'll start being productive and organizing my stuff and studying for the real world in a little bit. Probably after this delicious Irish Coffee and grapefruit.

Beyond trying to pretend that i'm not introverted, i'm mostly just doing regular ordinary day things like gaming, internetting and trying to convince myself that people aren't going to reject me at every turn. At least my family, both immediate and extended, is a fairly nice bunch of people, but i still get exhausted after a lengthy day of socializing with people who are either much older or much younger than me. My closest adult relative in terms of age is my cousin, who's in her late 30's, and then there's her two sons which are 5 and 8. Then there's me and my brother, who are 22 and 25 respectively, so that's fun and times. At least my brother can share the awkwardness with me. :I
