Does anyone remember how to put dwarves in cages? It had something to do with throwing them or knocking them with a cave-in. I'm going to try selling my excess dwarves to the caravans instead of killing them.

You need a GCS to fire webs on a cage traps.

Alternatively a controlled cave-in falling next (not ON!) a dwarf that is currently on a cage trap should work.

or a stupid titan or forgotten beast attacking you that shoots webs also works, especially if you were not prepared, did not close the gate in time, military was not ready nor went in all at once but died one by one as they slowly went after the target......yeeaaaaah.
