If you could pick the next squire's starting location, would it be...

A southernly port where cultures and norms of society mix and clash with each other?
A westernly city akin to Marienburg, home of current squire in play?
An easternly outpost at the edge of kingdom's borders, a beginning of thisverse's Silk Road?
A northernly fortress where young men prove themselves in combat with giants, wildlings and mystical beasts?
Centre of the kingdom, trapping the young squire in a thick web of decadent court's schemings and plots?

Poet.

Marriage sounds important plus reading and writing is a good skill in this world.

I think we should be more of a modern army officer with skills in reading, courtship, and war making than anything.

1 Horse riding
2 Courtship
1 Archery

True Knight

These will ensure survival against even mighty foes, and allow us to not be a COMPLETE bumbling fool at most other things.

Quick question, is this a no magic or low magic world?

Elves are inhabitants of fairy tales, dwarves do not allow humans to enter their mountain halls, wizards live in obscurity of their remote towers, and kings employ hordes of soldiers versus hordes of soldiers. Occassional dragon-sighting is a material for rumors and stories for decades to come, and those tainted with Godly powers are as revered as they're feared by commonfolk.

Low-magic at best :P
