If you could pick the next squire's starting location, would it be...

A southernly port where cultures and norms of society mix and clash with each other?
A westernly city akin to Marienburg, home of current squire in play?
An easternly outpost at the edge of kingdom's borders, a beginning of thisverse's Silk Road?
A northernly fortress where young men prove themselves in combat with giants, wildlings and mystical beasts?
Centre of the kingdom, trapping the young squire in a thick web of decadent court's schemings and plots?

I feel like I addressed both of those points.

For two it will get us stake burnt if we're found

Why? v:

There has been a mention of male-male relationships being true love written down in the ancient form of Knight Code of this medieval-verse and Church have made it out of fashion cuz well, it didn't go well with Church's societal-political schemings holy teachings.  You can get branded and tortured for doing shady magics but being gay will result in societal ostracization at best.

You really should pay attention to details. Or ask Abdal the scribe for books on religious morals, I dunno :P

A homosexual paladin, Guys that isn't gonna work out, :P Either way I'm giving it a -1.
We should go to the Sorceress anyways and her for help, Redfort's obviously just scared to admit that he has a problem, So we should do the right thing and get the Sorceresses help anyways.

On a more straightforward level, Redfort's kind of an ass.

I mean, so is Honso.  Possibly even moreso than Redfort.  But still.

What's wrong with gay knights? Haven't you watched Game of Thrones?
I recall one of them dying and the other one being a generally terrible person.  Not that it matters, in this case.

To summarize, I oppose this because "It complicates things AGAIN" and "I just hate Redfort.  I hate his sorry guts."

Well I go to sleep. Feel free to decide which way Honso swings and what to do with Redfort's more or less canon gayness and how the relationships will continue. Also vote in the poll even if you did before cuz I accidentally the votes when changing settings.

Well, gay sex *is* leading the poll currently.
Well, gay sex isn't what *I* voted for.

So yeah, -1 to being gay. Or bi.

Well, Honso is only 14, he should experiment a bit before he knows if he's into boys or girls.

I'm going to point out again we are engaged, or close to being, and sleeping with someone's cousin, blood or not, is not something that promotes love. It'd be a scummy thing to do. And her 'not minding' is tenuous at best.

Nothing wrong with gay paladins. They can praise the sun and purge the heretic just as well as anyone.

We don't know much about the views on sexualities, but if we base them on medieval times, it'd probably be frowned upon. Notice Redfort has been effectively disowned for it, curse or no. If that happens to us, it'll be bad.

Also trying to sleep with everyone is starting to get old. Much as a mid-puberty casanova as we are, we probably shouldn't try fucking everyone named in the game.

----

While it is obvious that Redfort is gay, I'd still advise NOT TRYING TO SLEEP WITH EVERY NAMED CHARACTER WE MEET.

Answer "more love than pity" and leave it at that.

Hmm. This does need a little bit of thought, considering that up to this point we've only chased skirts and haven't displayed the slightest interest in men. If we were to go gay or bi or whatever, I wouldn't have a problem with it so long as it had been built up, or at least something more than "Wait, you're gay? Make out with me!" That is the issue I have with Sheb's suggestion, in that it feels almost forced.

-1 to Sheb's suggestion.
