If you could pick the next squire's starting location, would it be...

A southernly port where cultures and norms of society mix and clash with each other?
A westernly city akin to Marienburg, home of current squire in play?
An easternly outpost at the edge of kingdom's borders, a beginning of thisverse's Silk Road?
A northernly fortress where young men prove themselves in combat with giants, wildlings and mystical beasts?
Centre of the kingdom, trapping the young squire in a thick web of decadent court's schemings and plots?

EDIT: Maybe we shouldn't completely dry ourselves. Then we'll look all wet and sparkly too!

And then die of pneumonia :P

Well, Matella might volunteer to "dry" us, if you know what I mean.... I have no idea what I mean. Maybe it just means drying.

There's no reason why we can't have a casual relationship with her. How else are we going to get our Courtship up? Considering our experience with Reading & Writing I think it'll be more useful to us than we're expecting.

'when do you guys think we'll get to leave this town for some excitement?'

We cant have casual sex w/the maid because
1  we (the playerbase) are trying to be . . . honorable
2  she wants more
3  gossip
4  need to find noble mate

hey can we write home?

It'd kinda feel like we were taking advantage of her as well, and let's not do that. Honourable conduct. Also, we certainly don't want a bastard child, and that'd be a risk each time.

Casual relationship doesn't mean sex. We can just occasionally go shirtless and stuff to keep her interested but not go all the way like something you would find in an anime. It would be crazy hilarious if we actually managed to get her have a nosebleed.

Seriously guys, we need to increase our Courtship if we want a decent chance of finding a "noble mate". The only way we can do that is by having some kind of relationship with Matella, even if it isn't sexual. Maybe we could show some curiosity about how to avoid impregnation if we were "hypothetically" doing that kind of thing with someone?

EDIT: To the other boys, I mean. Obviously we can't talk about that kind of thing with Matella.

Not really, chances are we'd get a noble betrothal through politics. Love really has little to do with it. It might help, and it'd certainly be good to be in love with the person we marry and vice versa, but hardly essential.

Knowing the time period, it's probably something ridiculous like wearing weasel testicles on her thigh (Not making that up) anyway. It'd be much more important to learn to read, write, and make things fall down after we hit them with metal sticks.

Not really, assuming a couple of things. Our courtship seems to mostly just be a measure of how well we can "wow" the ladies (and men) socially, and how well we react to others socially. Really, having a relationship with the maid is really just asking for 106% chance of trouble. Considering that there is a library, and books, we could probably study proper reactions and things like that in our off time.

-1 to all suggestions related to having a relationship with the maid.

Call on her when we see her again. We need to talk to her privately about news of our encounter. No more girl talk about the barn. If this reaches our Lord we may both get kicked out.

Why would we get kicked out?  He's unlikely to care.  And it's not like the rest of the knights and squires aren't fond of brothels.

Because its happening in his own house. We dont know what kind of standards he holds for his knights.

More common would be a punishment.  Sleeping with the servants would be seen as insulting or lowbrow at worst.  Could you not control yourself?
But while he would most likely disapprove, society has several examples of that sort of behavior.

EDIT: hell, this is back in an era where, regionally, men would be more likely to have male/male sexual contact before male/female contact.
