One of the reasons why we want to marry Fenya is it'll give us a good excuse for leaving Blackfish after we become a knight. If we get knighted without her marriage then there'll be no reason to leave other than that we don't want to get killed which'll make us look cowardly and dishonourable.

  -  Matrilineal inheritance.  We lose our family name, make our house extinct, and kill our dynasty.  Our father's possessions will either pass onto our son or daughter, but they will not pass onto a Lutz.

  -  Our father apparently knows about the family enough to call them poor.  Which makes sense, given what we have read of their history and property.  Poor, in terms of wealth.

  -  Why exactly do you wnt to marry her, other than beauty, our invested time into her (1 weekend and a letter (you stalker you)), and her ginger kisses?  She admits to be socially starved!!  She would date the local dung-hauler if he came to her in a nice dress!
