A Corpsepede. A centipede made of corpses.

I am quite fond of the idea of a parasite caste within the raws and society of Dwarves, with a 1/1000 chance or something of being born. It ostensibly looks entirely like a normal Dwarf but carries a syndrome that after infecting another Dwarf will after a long while turn the infected into a thrall. The thrall would then go about violently trying to further infect more Dwarves without the subtlety of the original parasite.

A nethack style cocatrice. It can be done (i think) making a creature that supures a substance that transfoms the victim in a
creature with a los melting point (dying inmediately) and that lefts a statue instead of a corpse.

I want a chimera, but it'll probably be a modding nightmare to make it accurate.

You know, with reptile scales on the dragon head,  horns and differently colored hair on the goat's head, and a mane and differently colored hair on the lion's. Also horns on both dragon and goat head, but not the lion's.

Also with flame jets unusable when the dragon head is missing (I think this is possible already) and stuff.

Centaurs and griffins should be in as well.

Griffins shouldn't be too hard, I guess centaurs can be done with the molemarian body ?

And plenty of other creatures, really. There should be fey (other than just the bogeymen and night trolls and the completely meaningless fairies/pixies), a serious dragon system, centaurs and a good part of monstruous humanoids (generic animal men, like the cavern tribes and not "kakapo men" who are different from "kea man").

Also very different animals from very different mythologies. After all there are animals from all around the world.

Like such:

Arctic biomes and glaciers: Wendigos, yuki-onnas (can be renamed as "snow woman"), krakens, ice jotunar

Temperate: Griffons, centaurs, chimeras, skinwalkers, various Japanese yokai for extra weirdness, diversity and OH HELLO I'M GOING TO HAUNT YOUR DREAMS FROM NOW ON

Hot: Djinn, efreets, sphinxes, and some more Arabic/Mesopotamian stuff (buraqs, lammasus, and other "hot damn what are you smoking" monsters )

and other variety.

Centaurs would make a good civ.

I would definitly make bioluminescent flying jellyfish if i was able to create something more advanced than a gem. I'd also make them milkable so that they could produce jellyfish jelly (Spongebob references ftw)

I vaguely recall someone making this for version .34, which should be compatible with minimal changes.

I'm not sure whether or not it was part of a larger mod though.

Oddly enough that is quite possible one of my favorite if not my favorite animal. My youtube channel (TazzTheJynx) has Thylacine's as a kind of mascot I guess you could say.

@Everyone: I'll be doing my best to make what creatures I can. I can't promise anything, as I am just a beginner at this whole modding thing and I will mess up a lot. But hopefully It won't be too bad, huh?

Centaurs have been done, but I can try to do them again if you really want me to? And i'm not sure how to do multiple skin types on one animal, so the Griffon would be a learning process. I would need to make the body and legs and tail that of a lion where as the wings and head of that of an eagle, with each having their respective skin. (fur for lion feathers for eagle)

However, I do have an... Interesting idea for another cavern creature. It'll be highly dangerous, so I may make it appear only in the 2-3 deep caverns.

I even created something like that before in DF2012. It was kinda OP, what with giant streams of rainbow fire flying all across the screen in every direction.
