"Ow! Okay, that was slightly worse."

Not long after Dany had suffered grievous wounds, he already started to get more beatings.

"Well, at least the pay will be worth it."

Dany uses vulnerary on himself.
As Dany lifted the vulnerary to imbibe, Alessa reached her hand out towards him.

She was actually stretching to ease and not endanger herself from the arrow wound, but that was hard to notice judging from the pain.

"Huh? What, do I look like a charitable person?"

Dany is about to use the vulnerary when he changed his mind.

"Tch, fine."

Use vulnerary on Alessa

Ferrum pursued the troubadour, another javelin in his hand.

While Dany and Adrianne tended to their ally's wounds, Ferrum and Erik charged forth. While they did though, Shirou narrowed his eyes and watched carefully, thumbing the broadhead of an arrow in thought.

Erik had a duel with the archer, his chromatic magic coalescing and taking flight as the archer ducked and dodged while taking the opportunistic stab with his dagger. In the end the archer took a particularly nasty blast and in retaliation dove forth, driving his dagger deep into the monk's chest. Moving on instinct, Erik had unleashed a quick and haphazard arc of magic his assailant. As his world went dark, the mage could at least content himself in the knowledge that so too did the archer fall, blackened and smoking.

Ferrum, for his part, charged forth and flung javelins at the troubadour who did likewise. Despite a few close calls and near-hits, neither side could quite land a square hit on the other. Not that such a weak blow would do much to the mountain of metal that was Ferrum. Before the troubadour could bark out a command to her lesser comrades though, a fletched shaft found itself in her chest. She hurriedly tried to pull it out and administer self-aid, but her staff only blinked faintly before its light died. As it did, the cavalry commander fell off her mount with a clang as she smacked the ground.

Shirou didn't need to look to confirm the kill.

ENEMY PHASE

Both of the horsemen looked to their fallen captain, then to the enemies, and finally to the gates. Seeming to be in-synch, both nodded to each other and immediately rode forth.

HIT: 86 - 37 - 10 = 39
CRT: 5 - 7 - 10 = 0!
Roll: 34! Hit!
Damage: 20 - 3 = 17!

Surprised at having taken his foe down so swiftly, both riders move forth towards the doors as the defenders ushered forth to assist the beleaguered cavalry. "We have to buy them time to set up the defenses! Hold them off until they're ready!"

ALLY/NEUTRAL PHASE

Seeing the enemies rallying to hold the bridge, the militia moved to assist the mercenaries.

Code: (Medicinal Aftereffects) [Select]
Alessa: Full Health!
Militia Captain: Full Health!
Code: (Militia A uses Perform) [Select]
Adrianne Looks Refreshed!
Code: (Militia Captain uses Vulnerary) [Select]
Erik: +5 HP!
Medicinal Aftereffects Imbued!
Code: (Militia C uses Vulnerary) [Select]
Shirou: +5 HP!

The militia hurried to help the mercenaries, spreading out and using the last of their medicine to get everyone back on their feet.

Blake Strikes Again!
HIT: 98 - 15 - 16 = 67
CRT: 6 - 2 = 4
Roll: 6! Hit!
Damage: 25 - 9 = 16!

The nomad rode forth, not even taking a moment to catch his bearing after being thrown back on his feet just moments ago, and within seconds an arrow found its mark between the slits of a soldier's helmet. The halberd wielding man slumped to his feet much to the horror of his comrades, as the nomad flew off. Their horror didn't manage to last for long as soon another was pressed by Blake. While the soldier managed to narrowly avoid the first and land a hit on the fencer, the swordsman had his second strike find its mark easily enough. The heftier blade was perfect for getting past the soldier's armor.

"You can hang out in front all you like, but I can't work my craft from all that far back!" Shirou shouted, standing tall in his saddle. "You keep them there- I'll pick 'em off one at a time!"
