Dany stepped up to bat, quick back on his feet and moving once his wounds were healed to the amazement of the militia who healed him. Mercenaries are made of sterner stuff, that's for sure. Taking position behind his rapidly fading companion, the archer took down to a knee and held the bow straight, arm held stiff as his other nocked and pulled an arrow out. Guiding it through experience and his keen eye, Dany let the arrow fly with a soft twang of the bow's sinew, the arrow finding purchase in the reeling mercenary's throat. There was no gargle or futile gasp of breath, the man merely fell flat from the impact of the arrow, dead before he hit the ground.

Ferrum was only moments behind him, roaring his challenge towards the enemies as he rushed forth and took the spear militia's place, throwing a javelin at what must be this group's leader. The steel spike took the troubadour by surprise, catching her in the side and carving out a nasty gash in her flank. She responded with a snarl and a tossed javelin of her own, but it was a rash throw with more force than finesse behind it, the javelin caught the mountain of metal on the shoulder causing it to bounce off harmlessly with a loud clang.

"Take this loud mouth down already! Shut him up!" The troubadour barked to her soldiers, one of them looking warily at the man of metal.
"B-but madam, we need the assistance of magic to--"
"Did I say flee back to the keep, or did I say to kill him already!?"

The troubadour quickly trotted to her allies and healed them of their wounds. Soon, both the monk and fencer found themselves back on their feet and no longer feeling the chilling touch of imminent mortality. But hurried magic can only do so much.

Ferrum chuckled at his injuries, the sound echoing from his chest. More mercury leaked from his wounds, but the construct felt no pain. He had felt no pain, ever since his rebirth as a man cast of steel. It was quicksilver that followed through veins instead blood now: his lungs were of copper, and breathed only so that he could speak.

Still, he knew that the militia and his team were suffering, and it was best he end this combat as soon as possible. To do that... he bulled past the axeman that had inflicted one of the slowly-shutting rents in his torso, one of his javelins in hand. Smoothly, he pivoted as he ran and threw the spear towards troubadour.

Alessa got up after thanking the one who healed her and counted.

One...two...three.

Where were the other militia?

She looked around again and...they were incapacitated--maybe even dead.
Gripping her blade, she trudged through the forest with determination to disable.

With thundering hooves and two arrows, Shirou caught the fighter dead on. The fallen axeman fell to the ground with a shout of pain that was soon silenced by the second arrow.
Meanwhile, Ferrum charged forth and flung a javelin at the troubadour. It sheered close, only missing due to a quick movement from the cavalry commander. She snarled and flung one back, but it had as much effect, catching in a tree right next to the metal giant.
Adrianne meanwhile trotted to Blake and patched up the wounded fencer, her magic imbuing him with a vitality of life and mind. Even before she moved back behind the lines, the swordsman was already charging off after the mercenary.
The mercenary didn't get far, not fast enough to flee the quicker fencer. His heavier blade at play now, it easily clove into the woman's armor and struck her in the back as she tried to flee further. Blindly slashing her sword at the man, she tried a desperate defense that was swept aside and the fencer's blade driven into her heart.

The archer fled from the group, slipping past and firing an arrow to harry them. The harrying arrow proved true for the archeress, catching the thief by surprise and sending her off her feet and onto the earth once more.
Meanwhile the cavalry trope spun into action, their leader healing the more wounded of her numbers and sending those two off to face the archer. She moved back and ordered the last unoccupied horseman to attack the knight.
The two riders after the archer thundered forth with lances, the first finding true and catching the archer roughly with the steel point. The archer responded with a slash of his dagger, sending the horseman moving back with the others with a new wound.
The other rider wasn't as lucky, his charge getting caught up in the trees and branches and causing his horse to rear up knock the rider off. Cursing profusely, the now-grounded horseman took up his sword to try and defend himself but he was too slow. The archer had already fell upon him.
The last cavalry unit fared only slightly better, his attack finding purchase on his target solidly. Yet it didn't even budge the metal knight, much to the surprise of the rider. Ferrum responded with a javelin, but the horseman was already falling back fast at the sight of his ineffective attack and the javelin fell short.

The militia performer moved to the troubadour and helped her tend to the wounded thanks to his magic, while the spearwoman lifted a vulnerary off of her husband and tended to the monk's wounds above. The militia captain however sought battle and charged forth, assaulting the archer. His fists struck like hammers and sent the archer back, but that didn't stop the soldier's daggers from finding their marks on the captain's body.

"Ow! Okay, that was slightly worse."

Not long after Dany had suffered grievous wounds, he already started to get more beatings.

"Well, at least the pay will be worth it."
