Are the patrols regular?  Is there any point to set an ambush?  What size are the patrols?

Train all of the miners to be marines.

Training is going to have to consist of "This is a rifle, you point it that way" for the time frame we have.

According to the away team, the patrols are extremely regular consist of about five soldiers. According to Hensen, they'll probably radio in for help from the HMC's Uark Base if given an opportunity. An ambush would certainly work, and if fast enough, they won't even be able to call for help.

Hensen goes through the basic training procedures, remembering his time as a marine, with the miners. He teaches them how to properly operate a rifle, as well as extremely basic discipline. The miners also report that while they don't have clearance for any of the vehicles, they do have access to high power mining explosives. Though they'd have to use the explosives quick, or the mining administration may notice something fishy.
One does have access to a transport truck, though. It can hold 2 people, and about 15 in the back and/or a lot of equipment.
6 Miners are now: Recruits.
Mining Truck acquired.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Well, we have dynamite now. Everybody knows what we use that for.  :P

We have two fighters. And dynamite. Surely we can just bomb this Uark barrack during the night time?

We don't need the dynamite to have our fighters destroy the Uarks. If those things can hover, they're practically helicopters and would already come with explosive (laser) weapons. Instead, we can use the dynamite to create some IEDs to kill the patrol. Of course, we have to make sure its killing power lies in shrapnel rather than explosive blast because we need their armour and weapons for our recruits.

Sure we could just load the truck with dynamite and drive it into the barracks, but we need to capture it if we want to control the AA and seize the rest of the planet. We can't destroy it unless we have some other plan for taking out the planetary defenses.

Just to be sure;
The consensus is to blow up a patrol with dynamite, then scavenge their armor?

The away team makes their way to one of the proven external patrol spots and surround it with dynamite. They then quickly hide themselves for the next hour.
BOOM!
Dust fills the airless space surrounding where the patrol was as some Uark soldiers collapse and others thrown away by the blast. After their deaths are confirmed, the marines equip the recruits in the armor and weapons of the former Uark soldiers, then hide the corpses.
5 Recruits equipped with Uark armor and weapons
A bit later, the team emerges from hiding, with seemingly no one the wiser.
Hensen radios in and states "Whatever we're doing, we're going to have to act fast - it's only a matter of time before they get alerted to our presence."

Well, we have better stuff now. We -might- be able to take the base now.

To be honest, I think we were a bit too hasty. We don't have the numbers, equipment, or training needed to beat them without destroying the base in a full-on assault. Instead, I think we should prepare some kind of bio or chemical weapon - possibly something like knock-out gas. They're less likely to wear their EVA suits in the barracks and we'd be able to match the few that are with our own EVA soldiers. It would be a lot easier just to blow everything up with the Darts but capturing the barracks - and thus the AA - means we can set up a more permanent presence here. We can't be nomads forever and we need a place to recruit soldiers and repair ships.

We should try to capture a couple Uarks and run some... experiments on them. See what kills them, how strong and perceptive they are... Maybe we can get an edge.
