Why must there be certain people we have to and don't have to fight? I think we should be allowed to fight those people, granted we wouldn't win.

How about... Things like Strength, Intelligence, etc. but also space-relevant ones like Commanding, Gun Operation..

We could always do a stat/skill combination, with stats like "Marksmanship" and skills like "Handguns", adding them together to see the result.

My current idea was the skill/stat combo. So you would have something like "Marksmanship:10" as a statistic, with skills like "Handguns:5" and "Spaceship Machine-Guns:6". So the stat, "Marksmanship" would add to both rolls, but you would have different skills that would also effect it.

Well I am probably going to start writing this up tomorrow, for all those still interested. I will probably start tonight, but don't trust my writing after ten at night. Any last minute comments are welcome!

I will probably apply penalties and the like for that, though I may end up adding a "trait" system as well. The same basic movements are the same for actions regardless of the gravity, and seeing as you chose deep space, there will likely be a different gravity from planet to planet.

Alright, here is a sample that I made at 3 in the morning. Might not be legible. As you can see, it borrows heavily from my other RPGs that only use stats. Ill have to see if the stat/skill system works with the system I normally use. Feel free to suggest new skills, or point out where I did something stupid or broken.

Ill check it over and rewrite it to be sure that the writing is of standard quality, and that the mechanics are sound. Ill also have to decide the proper amount of stat and skill points to assign, possibly also assigning a maximum amount that can be given to each.

What do you think of it?

Alright, game up! I rewrote some of it, fixed the errors that happened in the Word to Forum, and am ready to start.
