Eh, we're an eldritch being beyond good and evil that lusts to bring all of creation under our thrall, it's fairly annoying to see your own servant preempt you.
I did edit so he has the promise of a reward though.

Ignik was forward thinking and had initiative. Reward him with the ability to form a blade of void whilst in Voidstate. However make sure he understand that he is to confide with us before he goes and does something. Don't want to send an army to a village and discover it's already destroyed when we could have sent said army to a completely separate village that isn't destroyed.

With the priest dead. Taking the village will be considerably easier.

I agree and I always like having servants that can think for them selves saves tons of micromanaging but I agree with Xantalos he needs to inform us before going on his own.

We did spend 11 Void Essence on him. And he provides two rather then one Void Essence. He's considerably less expendable then the run of the mill mortal.

He's still expendable obviously. But less so.

Yeah, but we can probably just transplant his blessings to the next sneaky git if he screws up.
Still, servants acting of their own accord ... it don't sit well with me - reminds me too much of a few scenarios which didn't end well at all.
