Azzinosal Azuzdatur Nar: Lividsongs the Somber Spire of Oblivion

So.
This is my... third? time playing in an evil biome*.
* the first one got killed by beak dogs, the second one by digger mortis
Normally I don't share the events of my fortresses, but...

Look at this shit.

Spoiler: this shit (click to show/hide)

Now, you may be wondering:
"Why are you sharing this story partway through gameplay? You must have been playing (very poorly) for about ten minutes. Why are you saying this is an evil biome? That looks like a good biome."
1: I've been playing for 2 to 3 minutes.
2: All that cyan? That's evil sky muck.

Let me tell you what happened in those few minutes I've been playing.

I embark with my usual assortment of dwarves:
- 1 miner/stoneworker/architect/mechanic
- 1 woodcutter/carpenter/architect
- 1 miner/metalworker/mechanic
- 1 butcher/fisherman/tanner
- 1 herbalist/farmer/clothier
- 1 doctor
- 1 leader/broker/recordkeeper

We have the fortune to get our fungiwood wagon parked right next to the mountain, nearby a stream.
I'd learned from my past two encounters with evil biomes that getting a little crevice in the mountain to call home dug ASAP is a good idea, and so my Stonesinger and Metalsinger (music titles everywhere) got to work carving out a short hallway, a staircase, and a stockpile into the mountainside where I could burrow my dwarves.

And then, ten seconds in, muck starts falling from the skies.
A screen that once was green-brown became cyan in no time flat.
The five dwarves who I had yet to send inside immediately became drenched in the mess.
They ran over to the stream to get cleaned up but there was an issue.
There was a small herd of zombie yaks guarding the river.

One by one, my dwarves would tread out into the herd, get brained, and go missing.
First, my Timbersinger.
Then, my Highest Dirge (he was then immediately replaced by the Metalsinger for expedition leader)
Then, in short order, my Skinsinger, Harvestsinger, and Suturesinger.

Soon, the only living things outside were various fleeing livestock.
My miners were still at work, cutting open a home for people who could no longer reside in it.

Then, hope.
The rain died off.
Maybe I could get my dwarves to pull the food and drink ins- SHIT IT'S RAINING AGAIN.
The rain would never die long enough for me to finish a sentence.

A cat later meandered back into the little hovel and got both miners sick.
It's not lethal, though.
It appears to be a very brief, weak illness.

I's been like 5 minutes of things-happening time since I started.

So this shall be the tale of Lividsongs.
The first group, the Dashpick of Winding, may not be here much longer.
