I propose dorf version of Furt's.

Luc Odulon is a dwarf, somewhat short with long black hair and a lengthy beard knotted with braids and metal jewelry. He has thin tattoos etched in red dye across his flesh, part of an enchantment that allows him to control his right arm, a biomechanical construction superior to the one he was born with that gives him the strength necessary to easily work the superhard metals he uses.

The mountainhome spurned him for his work and threatened to exile him if he did not quit. He promised to destroy everything he built and made as if he was going to acquiesce, and one day when the tension had begun to boil off and the military was out on an expedition in the caverns, he left his workshop unlocked, unleashing the creations. The soldiers came back days later to find their children, pets, friends, wives, all transformed into walking horrors. They fell easily and the survivors finally retreated back into the caverns to meet their end at the hands of spiders, trolls and olms. Luc watched as his servants dragged the mutilated corpses of the soldiers back to his workshop to be 'improved'..

Arcanotech tinker necromancer blacksmith, we use magickal know-how and the strength of our arms to amalgamate machinery and flesh into obedient servants and bio-contraptions.

(Yep. Kitsune is leading dwarf mad scientist mage by one. I'll give it... well, either until I go to sleep or until I wake up around noon tomorrow, depending on whether I drink enough to forget about updating.)(GM cloaking field... activate!)
"In the lead now is Speshul Snowflake, with Munchkin Overlord trailing by a nose! Oh, this is a close one folks, the crowd is screaming as they come down the final stretch! One has the advantage of being small-time enough to avoid the attention of most truly nasty things, in exchange for not starting with the resources to easily defend her/him/itself. The other is surrounded by his nightmarish thralls but has already eared the ire of most who encounter him. It's an exciting day here at the Character Selection Mile as the first race of the day comes to a close!"  (As an aside, if it's outside parentheses, it's the character of the narrator. If it ain't in here, it ain't to be taken seriously.) "And my oh my, our furry friend becomes viscious when slighted? At least she/he/it doesn't turn viscous, I can't imagine becoming a sticky semi-solid goo would do much good... except for the fetishists. You know who you are, you dirty people!"

(Well sheeeeiiiit.)

(Looks like it's time for a tiebreaker coinflip. Except there's no coin, just a dice roller. 1 for Kitsune, 2 for Dwarf. 1d2 → [1] = (1))

(There it is. Kitsune wins. We don't get the D....warf I'll be drawing on existing mythology to a certain degree for your progression and innate potential -- suitably) "warped and twisted" (*hem*altered to mesh with the overall tone of the world, so I'm going to ask: how old are you? Young obviously, but what ag-)"-no, you fool, the numbers!-"(-e specifically?)

(Also going to need consensus on a more detailed--or any, really--physical description, including human form as well if applicable--for the sake of my prose not being vague and full of awkward constructs when describing you and your actions. Incidentally, the myth specifically pins the human form of kitsune as exclusively female. The original posting was completely gender neutral, but I'm going to be assuming that that is the case unless there's consensus otherwise, though in your natural form you'll continue to be gender-neutral, male, or female as you select at the start. Though it should be noted that deciding to play a male-transformation kitsune will influence certain things which will remain secret for-)-"abominations from beyond the firmament playing with your soul like a set of tinker-toys! Tiiiinker-toooooysssss"-(-oh for the love of-)-"Hemingway totally meant it to apply to situations like this one!" (No he bloody well didn't!)

((Which mythos? There are like twenty types. Are you going off of Celestial? Or the Spirit Foxes? Inari? Kitsune-Tsu? I'm going to go with a mix of Spirit Foxes and Celestial with a touch of Tsu.))

((Also as a sidenote, Kitsune-Tsu are normally female. The occasional one does turn out to be a possessed male in the lore though. Rare though. Only found like two books with that mentioned.))

We are mentally somewhere between 16 and 20 years of age. Biologically we are about 16. We came into our powers on our deathbed. We were fourteen back then. An old fox given new life. By a goddess's blessing, a misfired spell, or pure luck, it happened. We died and came back. Except we weren't in the same body we had started our first life in. It's an odd experience seeing your own corpse and being the corpse at the same time. The corpse of us slowly dissolved into nothingness as we lay there blinking. Really quite an odd sensation. Being both alive and dead for a short time. Reminded me of a certain temporally disassociated quantum fuckery inducing cat. Eventually the corpse vanished and we had sat up. Or at least we tried sitting up. We sorta fell over inmediately. Body was wrong. Legs all funny. And what the crap are these lil wiggly things on our paws? What is going on? Halp. This makes no sense. *The Kitsune proceeds to ramble for a while. Flashbacks are just /That/ much worse when you have runaway illusion magic.*

Our form as a fox is an oddly orange coat, quite bright, sleek and certainly fluffy. The main oddities of the form are the eyes and the tips of the tail and ears, all of which are a bright, almost glowing purple.

When in human form. We are fairly slender, about 5'4, and hopefully still a few inches to grow, our figure isn't exactly reminiscent of our gender persay, frankly speaking, we resemble the 'fairer' sex when in a humanish form, and are none to happy about it, not much we can do though, our hair is a fairly vivid brown which reaches our lower back. It gets in the way sometimes. We tried cutting it. It just grew back. Nkrmally our ears and tail are visible, although with a concentrated effort, we can make them fade to a more spectral apperation. They're still there, and anyone who looks closely will notice the distortion in the air, as well as anyone with spiritsight, but they're hidden from the layman. Our gender, if you haven't figured it out yet is male. Our eyes, ears, and tail are the same coloration as our fox form, although our eyes are a considerably deeper purple in humanform then foxform. We occasionally have claws and we occasionally have nails. We don't really control when it happens yet. Much to inexperienced. Although we are working on it. Bloody annoying to be peeling a fruit with a nail and suddenly juice everywhere because suddenly claws. Or gutting a fish and suddenly nails so no easy clean fish tonight. Our teeth follow the same level of randomness. Occasionally fangs, occasionally human teeth. Really is annoying. You know what. Everything about humanform is annoying. Can I have my claws back? I want to go cut something. I'm hungry.

(I use only the source known as the youthful Dr. Wikipedia, supplemented by half-remembered passages from scholarly works, fictional works, and fictional drivel alike. Culture just enough to taste, because any deeper and it stops being an influence and starts being lazy copypasta. Generalities are key, like wossanames. Such as how, ferex, the inevitable knockoff of the Roman Catholic Church will just 'share' bits of ceremony and aesthetic with the serial numbers filed off. Or something. I'd think about this inna morning but it's already morning like around just before prior to sunrise, so I'll think about it in the afternoontimes.)

Wikipedia sorta works. I suggest doing a lil googling though~

This is a good list of some of the types. I advise specific googling though.

(Oof.) "'ello there, sunshine, happy afternoon!" (Okay, yeah. I slept on it, and actually, I'll just pair the transformation with your natural gender.) "But y'all best pick one, playing coy or playing /d/ is gonna make fings worse, ya dig? The more bait y'all offer, the more I take the piss." (Should work better that way in terms of constructing the mythos for this world. That aside, now that the decision is over, this is the time for everyone to hash out exactly what they want in terms of name, appearance, and personality as opposed to 'general character template X' vs. 'general character template Y'. If nobody cares enough to discuss it, I'll take what's already here and roll with it.)

Not much debate on the Kitsune beyond the appearance I gave.

Beating a child is never acceptable. So again. Liverripping is a go.
I was beaten when I was a young child. I'm almost fine now.
