The sands of time itself seem accursed.
The end of the world seems nigh.
However, there is one last hope.
Four warriors, the bringers of a new age, a bright dawn,
shall arrive in the hour of the world's greatest need,
and end the darkness.

You are those heroes. You are the Guardians.

This is Saga of the Four Guardians, an affectionate parody of old role-playing video games. Between that and the prologue before you, that's all you really need to know right now, story-wise.

Character Sheet:
Name: Terrible puns, references, and the like are encouraged, but be mature about it.
Age: Please don't go above eighty or below thirteen.
Short Backstory: No more than a paragraph (I consider paragraphs to be up to five sentences.) Don't name places or important people other than yourself. World is mostly a generic-style fantasy setting sans non-human races, because screw elves.
Chosen Character Class: Detailed below. Base stats come from chosen class.

MagDef: Determines how hard magic hits you.

He then went on to save his small hamlet from a violent bandit using his prank of dropping a very large brick off a hut onto unsuspecting passerby.
