[Blade Master Model 42]

"Okay, well, I guess that's a plan. I'll see what else I can fit in my belt once we get down to it." Santoku stood up, and looked down at the encampment again. The wind obliged him by making his coat flap in the wind.

"You ready to go save your friends?"

[Swordstar]

"The pegasus flew away with two passengers. I believe I saw the dancer fade into the woods as well. I suppose that us being captured is the price we must pay for those to escape. The good and the bad must come together."

[Sirus]

: "Yeah, well...I hope it's the only price we'll have to pay. Keeping us locked up is hardly the worst thing they could do."

The mage looked at the entrance to the cave, clearly and uncharacteristicly uneasy.

[Swordstar]

"From what I heard as I was losing consciousness... I suspect we are to be sold."

[Sirus]

: "Who would be crazy enough to buy us, though? I'm no expert on the slave trade, but don't most of those people prefer their purchases to be meek and fearful, without a history of killing heavily-armed bandits?"

[Powder Miner]

Fiona touched down briefly, and dropped Santoku off a distance from the camp.
:"Signal me when you're ready, just... raise an arm or something, I'll be able to see."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Nah, they could spot me doing that. Give me ten minutes- I should be in position by then."

[Powder Miner]

:"Alright. Ten minutes..."
Fiona was good with time: as a racer, sometimes she could count turns and straights down to the second.

[Swordstar]

"There are ways to make even the worst people behave. Some people delight in breaking troublesome slaves..."

[Tiruin]

Kyrah was...distraught, for the lack of a description, towards her current state as well as that of her allies. She however chose not to show it...in facial expression alone.

"I just hope they didn't eat my horse. Maybe a superstition but I hear of these things."

[Sirus]

: "Well aren't you a bright ray of sunshine," Jasmine grumbled at Zahir. "I really hope you're not speaking from experience." To Kyrah, the mage added "They seemed pretty well-supplied from what I saw. They'll probably either sell your horse or keep it for themselves."

Santoku stripped off his coat, left it on the ground, and began his stealthy approach to the camp.

[Swordstar]

Zahir shook his head.

"Not me, no. But I have seen it. Those who cause that type of pain... Only pain should await them. "

An uncharacteristic rage seemed to be in the man's eyes for a second before fading back to normal.

[Sirus]

Jasmine cautiously put a hand on Zahir's arm. Admittedly she had only met the guy the other day, but even that flash of anger was a bit unnerving compared to his normal stoicism.

: "Easy there, fella. I agree, we need to put the hurt on these bandits. But we're gonna need weapons before we can do that; you might be able to win a fistfight, but I certainly couldn't."

[Solymr]

The old man came right back in with his staff in one hand and medicinal powder in the other.

: You got quite roughed up, didn't you? I had to make some of my medicine to bring you up to the quality standard.

The old man started applying the mixture to the group's various wounds.

: Now, if you would be so kind, why don't you tell me the story of how you ended up in here? I'm afraid this will get quite boring until everyone's ready to go.
