Showing the speed she bragged of, Fiona landed her pegasus outside the house and popped her head in. She saw no one, but spotted another vulnerary on the table.
"Just take it..." a child's trembling voice issued from a cupboard. "Take it and make the bad people go away!" Fiona grabs it and pulls the door shut as she leaves, the bolt falling into place.

Lazarus jokes as he moves forward. His knife moves forward at a somewhat higher velocity, too.

:"They're burning things and have axes... there's not a lot we can do except kill the bandits quickly."

: "The door's locked, right? Even bandits will take a while to break the door down, and they can't do that while we're fighting them. Just keep 'em occupied!"

[Xanmyral]

"Then we simply must kill quicker! Yes yes, drive them off!" The merchant said, as if coming to a stunning deduction. It was hard to tell if he was being serious or merely mocking.

Kyrah appraised the situation--as was her wont to do in every event of battle or danger--and noted the enemy positions in mind. They were grouped, and the Ixani soldiers wouldn't last long given the numerical advantage.

"Three groups--the southern group would need priority given the military asset present. Do you suppose they take situational orders? We need to push the front. Make space." the horseman muttered more to herself (and her horse) than to the rest, though it was quite audible despite the rush of boots to battle.
