When you wake up, you can hear the man walking through the house.  On the dining room table, there are four servings of breakfast. You eat in silence. "Until your quest is complete, you will all eat and sleep here. You must stop the evil force that is destined to win. Therefore, you must defy destiny itself." The man closes his eyes, then reopens them quickly. "Your first battle will be at the Samaritan's Church. I cannot help you, for obvious reasons. Go forth!"

To answer your question, NAV, +1 means you get +1 die to the roll.
I've been wondering: have I made the rolls to hard? This game is meant to be challenging, but not impossible.

I think so as it is impossible to succeed compleatly with out a three in a stat and massive luck
