PSYCHOPOMPOS

You are a Psychopomp - a Guide of the Dead, dedicated to showing the dead the way onward. You and untold others live in service of the vast bureaucracy of the Underworld, standng guard over all mortal souls and ensuring their passing into their chosen afterlives. Wars that have rent heavens have been fought over souls; you make certain they never will again. You guide the dead, and let nothing come before it.

No Guide could tend to all those lost and fallen; you have a specialization, a sphere of persons, circumstances, endings you care for. This makes sure - or tries to - that the Guides do not step on eachother's toes or fight over their subjects - neglected or mistreated souls will quickly become lost Spirits or malevolent Wraiths. These spheres range from broad to quite specific; the dead of a certain culture or social class, the followers of a certain faith, all youths with red hair, only those who drown in winter storms... What is your sphere?

The spawn of a million worlds and pantheons, the Guides rarely look alike, or even of the same species. Control over your form is one of the perks of the job, but What is your preferred appearance?

And, of course - What is your name?

Russia is simply taking an anti-Fascist stance against European Nazi products, they should be applauded. ¡No parmesan!

Ketrak, guide of those who find insects beautiful. Mismatch of various insect body parts, horrible enough to make most people scream.

The Janitor, guide of all those who, either during or after their death, have made or found themselves in a terrible mess. Looks like a disgruntled cleaning man in his late fifties, with graying hair and a long face with droopy eyes, not that you can see that with him wearing a cheap-looking blue biohazard suit. Has a mop and a bucket full of dirty water with him at all times.

(I wonder if this will be the closest thing we'll get to a Geist game on Bay12... :P)
Chuck Danzen  (No relation), the used car salesman of the afterlife. Porn star moustache, cheap suit, big smile. Always looking to get someone's reincarnation in order... with expenses, of course. His specialty is gullible people.
"Hi, Chuck Danzen. Here, have my card. Now, you're confused, worried, I can see that... but even you have to admit that this Chinese kid from the 1900s has one hell of a life, and at a damn cheap price to boot!"

Driver of the 7T12. Deliverer of the tired and lost, those worn so ragged by their former life that they have not the strength to make the journey on their own, and those weary travelers too lost to find the way. From a man working past retirement to a broke hitchhiker who hasn't eaten in 11 days to an astronaut lost in space, he'll be there for all of them, arriving in his taxi (or appropriate vehicle) to take them where they need to be.

A note on lore - your job is to make sure the souls end up however their particular faith/beliefs say. If the gods decree it, you'll shove them to hell, no matter how you feel about it - or, at least, that's how it's supposed to go. Reincarnation is a thing, and you might well try to make a little business on the side - but focusing a dead guy's attention too much on their past life (and wealth) would mean risking them turning all ghosty or Wraithy. And is very much against general Guide... guidelines.

...still, riches. I won't forbid it, exactly...

(On another note - humor is all well and good, but keep in mind the overall tone of this game is fairly serious.)

(Chuck is basically a conman, so I can see him trying to get into loopholes with the guidelines. Anyway, every game needs a stupid suggestion. The Janitor would probably be a better fit. :P)

Bobbert. He takes the souls of inventors and other men of science. He appears as a child sized robot with one large eye off center to the left and two horizontal parallel lines that glow green when he speaks to the right of the bottom of his eye. (Also see the amazing world of gumball.)

Cosmic Ray, the guide of all souls that die in outer space. He is a slightly pudgy, grim Hawaiian man wearing a silvery robe, and seems to be able to breathe without anything breathable being present.

Lucifer, the guide of all souls who lived a pure and virtuous life largely free of unrepentant sin prior to their death. He is a giant, red-skinned, three-headed, horned devil-looking fellow, hooves and all, smells distinctly of brimstone and suffering and wields a black, thorny trident that looks like it would be uncommonly painful to be stabbed with.

(I just had two more ideas. Hope there's not a one guide per suggester limit.)
