Thought it may have been that. I'll try and introduce myself when I have the chance.

Do we really want to tell the other group of trainers everything we know? I was under the impression that we were strictly confidential, beyond our identities. I think it would be prudent to conceal as much as we can. And to those that haven't yet realized, they're probably a group composed of our rivals.

That occurred to me, but my character is a bit too trusting from being sheltered, so I was playing into that. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're rivals, the question is, who is who's rival?

We'll figure it out as we talk to them over the course of the game I suspect. However right now my guy is the opposite of yours, TomatoWalrus. He's anything but trusting since he's had a hand at politics. Don't be offended if my character tends to shutdown some possible dialogues because he really is like that.

Man, thanks for giving me the opponent with the GHOST-TYPE when I only have Fighting and Normal moves. >_> (At least I'm assuming that's a Ghastly)

At least my Riolu has foresight, but he can only activate that twice...

I don't think you're fighting the Mudkip.

*Edit*
Nope, never mind, I'm wrong.

I'm up against a Psychic type with a Zubat..
I think this may be a battle we aren't supposed to win.

Just like in the games, the rival 'coincidentally' always has the perfect counter-type to your own. xD

Actually, we should have seen the foreshadowing. Mudkip is the counter-starter to Torchic! If you had a Mudkip, he'd probably have a Treecko.

I think I have a ok chance at actually winning my duel... Though things could always change (QUITE easily... my Munchlax has so many holes)

Though I am definitely afraid of that pokemon for later. Hariyama always scares me for some reason.

If it helps, Struggle attacks can also hit a Ghost-Type in a pinch. They aren't like they are in the games and hurt you, they serve as a weak, but typeless attack.

True enough, but for all we know our Rival's Pokemon are also higher leveled. I hadn't considered Struggle though, thanks. (Though I doubt it will allow a win. xD)

My Riolu is actually quite weak at the moment, though. All it knows is Quick Attack... (But it does have Endure, so if it's a close battle that may be the difference between victory and defeat.)

Hehe! It just might. Endure is a free action too, so he'll be able to tank a hit then return another from 1 HP.
