Ahh this is going to be play by post.

To admit... The Pokémon Tabletop does have a slight play by post leaning. It certainly benefits from being a hybrid over conventional sessions.

My character will definitely go down the Breeder and Underdog route and breed the ultimate pokemon!... or maybe I should just breed a new type of Snorlax... hmmm

Doing it over an IRC would probably be too hard to set up a proper schedule for.

I intend on going down the Trainer Combat route, possibly throwing in an ace or hunter for a few more Pokemon orientated things.
I'll admit that Rider is looking pretty tempting, but it depends on the kind of team I end up with.

I don't think my character's going to be caring a massive deal about Gym badges until something changes, though.

IRC might be good, when available, just to get through long battles or roleplay.

Well, since we're starting soon, I'll let off some of the basics in the storyline here:

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

Maybe, but they'll need to be announced a fair bit in advance to see who'll be able to make it or not.

Geez, I'm running out of class slots so quickly. >_>
Currently thinking about:

Soldier
Rider
Enduring Soul
Hunter
Juggler
Stat Ace
Type Ace

I only have two slots left. T_T
(I'm pretty sure Stat Ace requires another class as a prereq, as well.)

Roughly when did Team Highborn attack?

Well for example UXLZ lets say someone is doing a League battle... it may not be entirely needed for everyone to be there.

So it can just be Highmax and them.

Or if it is just a conversation between two people.

Then the log can be posted.

Yep Stat Ace requires you to be a Ace Trainer or Style Expert

That makes sense. It's ultimately up to the GM though.

Unfortunately. Then again, the class is strong enough that everyone would be obligated to take it without those conditions.

By the way, @GM, are we going to be using roles for attack damage, or the flat values?

I just realized how many HMs are quite a bit less useful because of this set up.

For example with Cut we can just... walk around or above roadblocks. With Surf we can just buy a rowboat.

We'll do fine the couple first weeks. Don't you worry your little heads about that.

Also I miscalculated your Pokémon have 2 Tutor/training points. 1 for first level, and 1 for being level 5.

I know what my first extended action is going to be.

I also added the Stab bonus and attack bonus to my Munchlax.

I'll be using rolls. And also, I would like at least one of you to do the league challenge, but you don't have to decide yet. Hell, since it's taken over, it should be the least of your worries right now

With that backstory, my character would probably be a bit more motivated to help people injured by war than to go for a catch em all playstyle. I'll still be catching as I go, but I think my main motivation now would be healing the wounded.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I'm sure that at the end of this, a lot of you will be battling regularly to get stronger, and some will probably have certain pokemon as support, like Chansey, etc. We got a nice balence right now, and the only thing I can think of what this party needs is a crafter or a cook. I also discovered how awesome hobbyist is

Oddly, i have all 4 of my classes figured out and I am going to try and keep my roleplaying correct.

I have a major support character, one not really fit for combat. But in the end i will probably be a valuable member of my team, if my feature goes my way, and with my pokemon i could be the most balanced(not sure if that is the right word) because of it species

and i wonnder if my sister will show up???? but that is up to the gm.
I am waiting egerly for the start
but I might not be able to play affectivly this weekend.... sadly my grandmother doen't have internet

I'm giving the guy until 5pm my time to respond. Otherwise, we'll start. The only reason I let him hold a spot is because he helped me flesh the world out landscape wise
