95.7 Gaia Gigas Melvina partially opens up, revealing a green feminine humanoid. She tells the Scyther of the tale of the Gigas.

I am one of four. Melvina, Vaalthal, Bahvel and Yuhn. Four of one.  Bahvel has arrived on this planet and has awoken along with Vaalthal. As they are creatures of evil and chaos, they must be stopped. But we exist in a balance: with the emissaries of destruction come emissaries of creation. That is me and Yuhn. She disappears in the gigantic wooden creature and continues marching. Verdant and lush growth follow in her wake

99: The appearance of monstrous creatures from the discovered objects sends a ripple of disbelief and horror throughout the Confederacy. Those amongst the highest echelons of rule are unable to act; they had spent much of the Confederacy's resources on the theory that the objects were the Gods sleeping forms. Now with these terrors upon them, as well as the changes in the world's atmosphere, they decided to return to normalcy for now, undergoing a few final experiments to save as much people as possible.
