What is a FeMRA? A quick search revealed an Albanian style website.

Don't use the letters SJW on this thread, it only makes things worse. Obviously anything invoking Godwin's law is poor argument.

A problem with equal sentencing is that pregnant women will end up giving birth in prison if they are incarcerated, which means the baby will not see its mother. The base sentence for a male and female offender should be the same, but smeeprocket may have meant that women have more extenuating circumstances.

feminazi has nothing to do with godwin's law. I'm not relating anything the opposition is doing to nazis. I'm saying it is as bad as other slurs used against feminists, though yes, those would reference godwin's law (thanks rush limbaugh)

honestly guys, I can't keep up with the thread with only me on this side and 5 or 6 people hammering me. It's very difficult to respond to every post or accusation.

Have I called you a FeMRA yet?

I don't know what that is. Also, if you read my post, I wasn't insulting you, but the source you gave.

the 1989 study which found a 78% conviction rate was based on was for 1 city for 3 years, around 30 years ago, and nobody has been able to replicate that data anywhere else, or any time since. Which is why they're citing a tiny study from 30 years ago as a "general case".

Solidarity citing 1 tiny study from 30 years ago is a clear sign they literally don't have any other data that supports this, so the cite the one tiny study from history that backs up their pre-conceived beliefs. This is blatant cherry-picking, when you ignore much larger and more recent studies which contradict the one you "like".

And the people who did the original study also legally represented a fair number of the women involved in their cases. First up, that's a clear conflict of interests. And second, they were an advocacy group for domestic violence, so it was in their interests to play up that angle.

I was dismissing the term "feminazi" as Godwin's law, not you. It has "nazi" in it, and usually seeks to dismiss the opponent by comparing her to a Nazi.

Point of clarification:

Most people use Social Justice Warrior to mean people who pounce on them over the internet for annoying oppressed groups[Actual or perceived.] instead of people who more accurately deserve the title such as those who campaign for equal rights or try to aid the poor.

Now, somewhere on Bay12, I've seen someone[With a penguin avatar, I think, not that that helps any.] suggest that, to describe the first category of people, you use the term KEYBOARD Social Justice Warriors to distinguish them from the kind who actually do social justice. Or KSJW for short.

I would say "oppressed group" rather than "minority". Not too many social justice warriors supporting millionaires, and they are certainly a minority.

Not sure why. They get so much flak for being successful. Poor guys. I suppose I'll edit my post anyways.

minority is generally used in reference to power dynamic but we covered this.

Just please don't use SJW, the concept that it is okay to "Annoy minorities" by being a casual bigot and that people that get mad at that have a stick up their ass or whatever you want to take away from the terms Feminazi and SJW is offensive in and of itself.

And yea, I really can't keep up with this. I'm going to let the thread go and play planet side 2 or dino d-day for a bit.

The thing is, sometime the social justice types just goes too far. I remember reading somewhere a post by a latino claiming that Halloween was "cultural colonialism" of latinos. Because they also celebrate a day of the dead.

I usually keep my SJW label for people such as these.

The thread will then fall calm until you come back.

Minority is NOT generally used your way by the majority of people. It is generally only used that way by you and those you sympathise with, who are - guess what - a minority, in the real sense. If you use words differently from how most people use them, you will confuse them.

I agree that SJW and especially feminazi are not good terms to use in an argument.

Someone once accused me of being racist against the Jews (even though I am Jewish) for being dissapointed that the movie adaptation of "At the Mountains of Madness" was canceled.

Is there even a logic behind that?
