Bluh, sounds like you poisoned those organisms.
Speaking of poison:
The first time I experienced tea, I was with my dad when he was practicing with one of his jazz bands at a friend's house. So our host asks me, because I'm so young, if I'd like to come with her to help make tea for the musicians. I ask her what tea is, and she says it's "anything you want it to be. What would you like to make some out of?" I, being a smug smartass at the time, knew that consuming rosehips would give you itchybum, so I said "I bet you can't make it out of rosehips!", to which she said "That's an excellent idea, I have some here".
I panicked, because I didn't want to actually give everyone itchybum, but she threw the rosehips and some other leaves into a basket and lowered that into the pot; I assume that it was other herbs to make an herbal tea, could have been real tea leaves though. She brings cups of it out to everyone, and they all happily drink their rosehip tea while I'm still wigging out, and I was sure I'd poisoned them all! I was positive that they would all be complaining of itchybum at the very best and dead at the worst within minutes. Of course, it didn't happen.
The next day I was given a formal introduction to bagged herbal teas, and to real teas too by my mom who explained to me that there was nothing to panic about last night, and that this one (earl grey) was her favorite but I might want to start with this one (peppermint).
