War For Sanctuary (4/6)
« on: December 15, 2014, 12:40:29 pm »

Found some free time to type this up but won't be running it for abit so just thought I would type this thing up real quick and then lock it for a bit till I can use it.

Some players from the ¨In Search of Sanctuary¨ game will get slightly lifted or heightened spots in game for storyline reasons.
Those in specific are, Patrick Hunt, PewdsRocks, Andres, and Mr. Void. (PM me prior to joining if you are one of these people and want your earned higher in game position. If not then just join as a normal player.)

Whats happening?

Sanctuary, a paradise in the middle of a wasteland of zombies has expanded its borders. Why? because its people thirst for an out of working on a farm or repairing vehicles/machinery the rest of their lives and only so many are allowed to join the scouts, guards, and officers of Sanctuary. To fulfill this want, Sanctuary has reclaimed a city to its north, a city surrounded by hills and in the middle of a large plain. Here it grabs a foothold in the wastes that it has fought to keep. Two large military forces work and train in this now reclaimed and growing city used for food production and military field training. This city is named Requiem and it is a peaceful village compared to the metropolis that is Sanctuary.
During the reclaim of Requiem, a military group to the south that has been in control of a large fort and factory district assisted in sending a group of wanderers to Sanctuary in exchange for establishing communications with the city. The wanderers did not fail in this mission and the militarized factory district to the south of Sanctuary has been inhabited and used to produce defenses, weapons, vehicles, and above all else power. This city now named Elysium, has a working nuclear reactor that powers the three cities.
A cure for the zombie virus was found in the brain of one wanderer who had been (like several others) set in deep sleep by the people who released the virus. The man died in the extraction and but a cure now exists but it only works on the sick and not the dead infected that wander the wastes.

Roughly 25 years after these events the three cities are thriving, with populations exceeding tens of thousands. Many of the new people are refugees from the wastes. Requiem is training the elite of the military in the area, Sanctuary is creating technological advancements that haven't been seen in many a year, and Elysium is mass producing the basic things that keep the cities alive.
Elysium and Requiem have been vying for political power over Sanctuary.

How did the populations become so large?
Requiem took in a large migration of Sanctuary citizens looking to be free from the heavily ordered and regulated lives of Sanctuary, switching to the militaristic and humanitarian cause of Requiem.
Sanctuary has been taking in many new nomads and raiders who have given up their ways.

Elysium has taken a small stipend of Sanctuary citizens as a work force and many scavenger migrating in looking for an easy living with only having to work in the factories to gain the food and housing they so desperately sought.

Choose your side-
Requiem- humanitarian and militaristic
Sanctuary- heavily ordered and farm labor
Elysium- Factory working and conscripted army

Sanctuary’s blood is the product of Elysium and its immunity is Requiem. Requiem has been trying to advance society to save those living in the wastes and suffering the plight of survival and Elysium is looking for a work force to create a vast empire in the wastes, promising an easy living for their citizens and the enslavement of those conquered in the waste.

In game your character is a militant from one of the cities of your choice.
Each city has special units or regular infantry, for these there are special load outs for each city so make sure that your city and loadout match.

You also have an allied combat group (your daughter's company) who is partially under your command but is NPC'd most of the time

Pretty much what I planned anyway, was going to create a recon group for her as an independent command anyway and just tell her to go make enemies.

((Gonna start the game off, hopefully more people show up though))

Mastacheese- Yiu have been assigned to the special forces team in Requiem, a dream job for any militant. Especialy since they have the latest and greatest armor in the region. Developed in Sanctuary specifically for Requiem use, custom fit carapace external armor with internal agility [exo] suit. You will be taking commands from the brave leader of this group (Patrick hunts character). He lead two great victories in his commanding career that and urban legend says that the old man is eternaly youthful. You are currently stationed in the Requiem urban combat barracks, the place where all new special ops soilders are sent to after basic. You are waiting in line with five other people who went through the same training as you, all 6 of you are tough as nails, and all 6 of you are waiting for your new shiny equipment and your first mission in service of requiem.
[you are in line waiting to receive your new special forces equipment, you are fresh out of training with 5 others like you]

Patrick hunt- after that accident in the hills a few months ago when one of the special forces teams in your company managed to lose six of their men (that's a whole team right? Or was it seven?) in an accidental explosion from faulty incendiary grenades you had 6 new soilders sent through training right away and they finished just in time too since your new agility armor suits have just recently been finished and shipped up. All of your teams but this new one are armed and ready and you are preparing to go meet and train these six new special forces recruits in how to use their new equipment.

((Sorry if beginning goes slow, I'm kinda trying to stall/wait for new people before the !!fun!! Stuff begins))

Mastacheese- After a bit of waiting you are handed your custom armor suit. It seems to be made of thin metalic plates with and Exo suit built underneath it. The Exo suit seems to be thin hydrolic tubes all over the inside of the suit. As you begin trying it on a man walks into the room. He looks to be in his mid thirties but he is wearing a suit of similar armor, must be the trainor.
You finish putting your suit on and he looks all of you in the eye and yells,"ATTENTION!". Instinctively all six of you jump into position or attention and the man begins to speak,"I am the commander of the special forces unit in Requiem. Seeming that the trainers of the division barely know how to use the armor I will be training you."
The next week consists of personal training from one of the greatest leaders in sanctuary history. You learn quick and fast some of the neat tricks the armor holds, such as a doubled running speed with little fatigue, an extra carrying compacity, and extra lift strength, faster melee attacks, doubled jumping hight, wall running, and armor sliding (think call of duty dolphin diving but you slide a good distance when you land.)

Patrick hunt- you have trained them well enough to learn how to use the armor and know some of it's neat tricks.
You receive a message from sanctuary, one of the largest recruiting events is comming up soon. The sanctuary military parade, a show of force in each militant group. The parade is used to 'inspire' the citizens of sanctuary to join your military.

Blazing glory- your unit has been sent to the military parade in sanctuary but your commanders have a hidden agenda, to secure sections of sanctuary and build the grounds as the bombings take out crucial buildings. You will be part of the only troops there to hold Elysium's grasp on sanctuary and take control of the city once and for all.-
You find yourself in the back of the parade, holding up the rear, Elysiums stake in the parade. Three armored Elysium tanks behind you and a block of 250 Elysium grunts in front of you. All the grunts marching in their olive drab uniforms and the officers among them in their dark blue over coats. The attacks have begun as the main floor of some apartment building four blocks down explodes into a burst of flames and the building begins to crumble down.

Mastacheese- your team has been assigned to marching in the parade, along with many other units. Your team is to show off Requiem's new power suits and to show off Requiems finest unit.-
You find yourself at the parade marching and in the midst of the cheering crowds you begin hearing explosions from buildings down the street behind you. You can hear the screams of many people but many more have yet to notice and are mindlessly watching the parade.

Patrick hunt- you have sent your units off, about a quarter of Requiems forces. All of them not the best but not the worst.
About five minute into watching the parade you see an apartment building along the route explode on it's main floor and begin to collapse
