How can I get more vampires and werebeasts in my world?

Increasing the werebeast and vampire types probably won't cut it. Is generating longer histories the only way? Is there any other factors that might affect it?

Longer histories, bigger civ numbers, bigger number of sentients.

Yeah, I guess there isn't any other method to do this. At most I generate 100 year worlds to keep beasts alive, but I need a different form of Fun now.

Generating a 500 year world then!
