I approve of this format - the previous thread was a bit like dodgeball with only one or two people on your team, and occasionally someone threw a shot-put instead of a soft ball.

At least it was better than the nuclear warhead dodgeball of the Islam thread.

You've got to not let that kind of thing get to you, it's the nature of this kind of thing. At this festive time of year especially, I like to remind people that even the First Nicene Council eventually degenerated into physical violence.

In other news, I have decided to join the Satanic Temple, which is technically a religion, but just exists to get rights for those of us who prefer science over mysticism and what have you.

Okay people, enough of the chitchat.  I specifically framed this thread as a question-and-answer thread in order to AVOID some of the problems associated with previous religion threads.  While I understand that the first couple pages of any thread are often rocky with regards to following the intent of the first post, let's try to bring this thread back on track.  No fault of any of you, but let's just try and move ourselves back into the format that was laid out.

So the bible teaches that men are superior to women, and has some really unusual rules like women being unclean for specific numbers of days after giving birth (much longer if it is a female child than a male child.)

Okay, so, if you, as a Christian follow rules like homosexuality is a sin, etc, do you also subscribe to the quotes therein, and how does that play out for you in day to day life, relationships, etc?
