A pile of gypsum plaster???
« on: December 13, 2014, 03:56:32 pm »

Inside the hospital, around the well piles of gypsum plaster randomly appear. Can't dump them, they seem to both appear and disappear by themselves. Dunno why that's happening?

I saw the levels of the hospital stocking and it even shows there's some plaster yet to stock, I have plenty of empty bags and containers for it on the hospital. The well is over a 3 levels depth cistern. This seems to have started after the cistern filled the uppermost level at a depth of 3. Could that somewhat have something to do?

If it's around the well then it's probably there because it's being deposited after dwarves wash. Did you dump any bags or plaster at any point? Dwarves may be walking through it.

I've had that kind of stuff appear, I assumed they were getting it on their hands and clothes as they carried the bags then washed it off or tracked it around...

I assumed it was the direct result of getting the cast off, post-healing. I could be very wrong about that. I did have a helpful dwarf dump huge amounts of powders at one point, due to a problem with a stockpile transfer. That was a mess. And it did get tracked every-sodding-where.

They do leave a puddle of plaster dust when the cast comes off.

Bags of powders will also 'break open' if the store job gets interrupted. The carrying dwarf will drop the bag, then seomoen will come to store the bag, but not the powder.

Uh oh that might be it, at some point I ordered some bags of plaster to be dumped by error, I realized and stopped it but not before they already dumped some already.
