Germany asks for our scopes, so I send them and purchase two more immediately.
Then, a UFO contact! This one is further away than the last one...
I scramble an interceptor, and it is nearly destroyed but still manages to shoot down the UFO.
I quickly assemble the team, and they head out to the forest right outside.
They dismount the skyranger and I order half the squad up the hill and the other half to continue through the brook towards the alien craft.
Akami moves up and spots a pair of flying aliens that appear to be half metal!
Quartz kills one, and IcyTea throws a smoke to keep the other from getting an easy shot.
The alien can't shoot anyone, so it runs into the forest to hide. Quartz chases it but misses his shot.
Darkling has a better vantage point though and easily manages to kill it.
The squad moves to the clearing where the ship landed, but then IcyTea heard a noise from the woods behind them. It was a pair of Sectoids!
IcyTea takes care of the one poking its head up, but the other hides behind the hill where the squad can't see.
So the squad waits for it to come out, and Akami guns it down when it does. Darkling is... a bit slow.
The team heads back to the clearing and sees a pair of sectoids on the other side! They miss a couple of shots while the aliens run to cover.
But once they stop, Darkling and Akami make short work of them. They are both promoted for the ease the killed those two sectoids.
All that's left to do is clear the enemy ship itself, and so the squad gets in position and... It's a bigger ship than last time. Oh. So the squad quickly moves towards the engines.
And surprise! The outsider was outside the control room!
It's a nice surprise, but Quartz fires into the room and the outsider's natural magnetism attracts the bullets and it dies. Mission Accomplished!
