Might as well mention what I have done so far.

after arriving at work late, Freeman rushes through his routine to get to the test.  he moves so quickly that he has to rush back to grab his hazard suit.  After arriving at the test, he slips pushing the cart in, nearly derailing it.  After watching a variety of trippy illusions, he heads through the facility dodging lasers.  After getting a crowbar, he heads back through the lasers, kills the one headcrab he encountered, then rushes through the lasers again.  As if a switch has been flipped, he rushes through the facility with the mindset of an adventurer, looting rooms and running through every air duct he finds, killing anything he comes across that dares to attack him.  Later on, he mistakenly kills a member of the military, though it turns out okay as they were already killing scientists. continuing through the facility, he comes across a buisnessman in a blue suit on the other side of a glass.  (phone doesn't give me much space, so this is 1/2+)

the opinion of the buisnessman drops rapidly to 'fuck him' after the guy just straightens his tie and walks off.   Freeman soon starts cursing the contractors who built the place, as they had put the ladders in a position you had to jump to them to reach them' then walk a narrow ledge to get to a position to reach the next one.  After making it past that point and approaching the surface, he channels the spirit of Rambo from the sheer amount of ammo he had collected to that point.  after returning underground after the rampage attracted bombers, Freeman dives into the vents to look for another area to exit, and notes to make sure not to channel Rambo on his next exit if he can help it.

I wouldn't worry about HL2: Deathmatch if I were you. No plot, it's exactly what it sounds like.

Been awhile.  Here's an update, from the perspective of this version of Gordon Freeman rather than as a summary.

Well, military killed, aliens stomped, and I have no idea where I am going.  Nothing responds to the vaguest prodding of my crowbar.  Looks like I need to get below the fan, I think I saw a vent entrance down there...



Easy does it...



I'm in.  Let's see where this goes.



Hooray!  More shotgun shells!  Not like I'm carrying 80 already...

I think I saw another path lower down...



Okay, then.  Ran through the vent to a choice of two.  I'll take the lower first...



"Hello I..."

"Motherfuck-  Do not do that to me!  What do you want!?"

The guy blabbed on and on about the government's efforts being messed up and the scientists in another sector being the only ones to fix this.

"Yeah, yeah.  I'm going back into the vents."

"I can open this door for y-"

"That's nice.  Have it open when I come back."

"But-"

"SORRY!  Can't hear you!"

Some people say that their first impression of me is an asshole.  I tell them to fuck off.

Turns out the vents only led to a deadend for reasons I have no idea of, as there is more facility that way.




I open up the door to the silo.

"Let's go."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"I don't have a weapon."

"Then you can distract them."

"I don't want to die!"

"Fine then, more glory for me."

History always vindicates the guy with the most glory.



Oh look, something's trying to block my way...

Too bad I have a crowbar!

Why is there droning sound that is like an alert going off?  I mean, it's not gonna stop me, but why?

Okay then.  I can run down this tunnel carefully, taking hostiles as they come carefully...



Or I can recklessly run down the corridor on this cart.

Wonder what's in this pool?  Geiger Counter is going off, so it was probably a good thing this stop was there.  Though I might have had enough speed that I could have skipped across it a few times if I modified the motor.



YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO FACE ME!



I wonder if this is the result of that pipe being open.  Might want to talk to management later.  Nah.  They probably asked for it to be done themselves, considering the crates that are in it.  Probably wanted to test the durability of the crates or weaponize it into a spray weapon.  I think I saw a project about one of those cross my desk at some point, but all I recall is that I really wanted to erode the boundaries of space and time.



It's the way forwards though.  BONZAI!!!!



YOU SHALL DIE!  You know, jumping in and out of cover is very effective.  Meh, it will probably be a fad.  Running around destroying everything that dares look at you wrong with whatever weapon you desire is where it's at.



You know, I wonder if standing in the goop would mutate the creature into an abomination.  I wonder if I could tame that abomination.  I know that if I could, I would love it, care for it, call it fluffy, and teach it to destroy my enemies or Steve from Accounting.  Screw him and his blue suit.



Awesome!  Medkits and Armor!  I heard there was a game set to come out soon that boasted that health would regenerate.  Talk about a gimmick that will pass.



They float upon the goo.  That is so awesome.  I must study this more later.



Let's see what is in this next area.

Promlar Engine Testing, eh?  Is that the warp drive project to exploit subspace, the project to use a collider to increase the speed of light, or the improved jet turbines for long range stealth bombers?
