Viral grinned, closing his fist as he began to speak, "We've detected a source of spiral energy by the binary stary system XC-1615. We load up, and we take. It. Down!"
Then, the Anti-Spiral cube spoke.
"You still believe you can stop the Spiral Nemesis? Spiral beings never learn, despite millenia of evolution of intelligence. You are foolish to believe you can stop it with brute force."

"You bang something on the head hard enough, it dies."

"Not a natural phenomenon."
"You look strong enough," Evanglyn said to Galen, "Come at me, let me see what you got!"

Galen nods and gets into a fist fighting stance. He quickly sends two jabs at his tutor before dropping and kicking towards her knees to trip her.

"Commander Viral, if I may? Perhaps the Cube would do us better if it were hooked up, like the Biocomputer that Lord Genome was hooked up to during the War?" Buki ventures as he heads back to the Baron. Man he hoped that other guy wasn't too pissed at him... Buki made a mental note to remember his name later.

Ao is rather quiet as they watch this conversation.

Yuna is kind of confused but watches.

"Commander Viral, if I may? Perhaps the Cube would do us better if it were hooked up, like the Biocomputer that Lord Genome was hooked up to during the War?" Buki ventures as he heads back to the Baron. Man he hoped that other guy wasn't too pissed at him... Buki made a mental note to remember his name later.

"I'll get Leeron on it. For now, we need to head back to the base and plan. Gunmen up, everybody."

"Yes, please, connect me to your computer database so I will want to kill myself even more from your specie's lack of intellect."
Evanglyn dodged to the right, quickly batting aside his fist and countering him with a jab to the chest. The other jab she grabbed, using it to put him in a lock down to the ground before he has a chance to kick.
 "You're fast, I'll give you that."

Ao nods and briskly sets off to their Gunmen.

Buki sighs. "That thing's already starting to grate..." He hurries back to the hangar, and pilots the Baron back to the base.

In-flight, he tries looking into Lagann's power output. He's concerned that since he's only using part of the core drill, Lagann is operating at less than optimum.

Reina takes off in her Gunmen, quietly staring into the vastness of space on the way.

I wish you could see that I'm making a difference out here, Mom... She whispers to herself. I may not have been able to protect Dad, but maybe I can still help protect you and everyone else down there. They need me out here, just like they needed you back then.

Galen makes an attempt to shrug.
"I do my best."

Jen heads to the Paprika.

Buki sighs. "That thing's already starting to grate..." He hurries back to the hangar, and pilots the Baron back to the base.

In-flight, he tries looking into Lagann's power output. He's concerned that since he's only using part of the core drill, Lagann is operating at less than optimum.

It appears that such is the case, however for the most part, Buki finds that the drill acts as a key and partly a conduit for his spiral energy.
They land in the hangar, parking their Gunmen side-to-side, exiting to follow Viral into the command room. Hands behind his back, Viral takes a seat at the head of the table, followed by everyone else.
 "We have been through much. We suffered the death of a loved one, turning a victory into still a bitter defeat. But his spirit lives in our hearts, alongside our own. His funeral will be held in a week, but for now, we need to make a decision.
Gurren is still under heavy repairs since the big battle, and it is perhaps our most powerful weapon. I will put it to a vote; should we wait for Gurren to be repaired, or shall we fight this new spiral anomaly now without it?"

Galen makes an attempt to shrug.
"I do my best."

"So why're you out here all alone?"
