At the mention of working on Gunmen, Ao suddenly perks up.
".....have you any experience in blacksmithing?"

"Specify? There's a difference between making bits for Gunmen and making actual weapons."

Ao sinks down just as quickly.
".....I guess you are only skilled at machining parts for the Gunmen, then?"

"I think Ao just wanted a new sword. Dunno why, the one they've got seems fine... But making Gunmen parts is handy, you realize."

"No, just a bit of a tic of mine, the specificness. I mostly work with Gunmen, yeah, but I also try some other things. I made a lot of modifications on this gun I have." She glances at Ao's sword. No, not that one, the one with that does the stabbing. "I could try swords. Never done it before, but couldn't hurt to try."

Ao pulls their sword out of the scabbard, revealing the teardrop-shaped hole. Buki and Yuna, now that they can actually see the sword close-up, realise two things; that the sword is ancient, and, judging by the many cracks, damaged. A tiny spark of blue shoots into the hole.

"I don't want a new sword. I want this one repaired, but......this sword has.....secrets behind it, so to speak, and I want to ensure that whoever I entrust its repair to is as capable as the smiths who first forged it."

[Twinwolf]

"...Well, that's a goal to work up to, with practice. If you want, I can try making another you can use so that one doesn't break completely."

"This sword won't break completely through normal use. That much, I can assure you.

The thing that damaged it required vast amounts of Spiral Energy to do so, the likes that have only been seen within what you refer to as the Gurren Lagann."

"Your sword is magic isn't it." Buki is looking closely at it, watching the hole intently. "Looks like it's not all here either...."

Buki tilts his head at Ao, hardly believing his ears. "The hell did you FIGHT?!"
