She screws the barrel back onto her rifle and slings it back over her shoulder. "You guys really don't have a job? Or a mission? Or a plan? My orders are to follow around a group of people with no organization who have no idea what they're doing?"

Jesse is rather nonplussed by the series of events.

"Wait, so we suspect the sniper who hasn't shot at us and closed to point blank range before hearing her out?

I doubt anyone trying to kill us would do something that stupid.

What I want to know is who your employers are, since most of us never met each other til a short while ago."

"... We just decided to investigate the Spiral Overload cases.... I was hoping to find a lead in Kamina City..."

Jen points upwards.
"Figure thar's more fightin' to be had."

Buki looks to the ghost. "The... The thing that happened last night? Which is why we all left the town?" He sighs, shaking his head. "It's what I'M looking into, anyway. It's safer to travel in groups."

....oh, right, that! I just got bored.

"I have no idea who they represent. The info I've been getting has been coming from an obviously fake name. Fairly standard stuff for mercenary work. All they've told me was that you had a job and that job needed to be kept an eye on. They said they needed assurance that you helping people wasn't going to turn into you hurting people."

"Oi have a mission."
Jen points upwards.
"Figure thar's more fightin' to be had."

Reina sighs and rubs the bridge of her nose. "_{I expected professionals...} Alright, lead on. Unless you'd rather stay behind me in case I decide to shoot you in the back and say goodbye to the fattest paycheck I'll ever get in three lifetimes?"

Jesse sighs and shrugs, hands up in the air in the universal 'what can ya do?' gesture as she walks away, following the rest.

The girl reaches into her jacket and pulls out a well-worn but good-looking wooden pipe. She fiddles around with an inside pocket as she holds it between her teeth, searching for her leaf...

Reina stretches and tries to strike up a conversation with Buki as they walk. "Nice Dai-Gurren jacket. Looks like it's seen some action. You've got a bit of resemblance to Simon, too."

Jen crosses her arms, and keeps her eyes glue on Reina, intensely staring. She was idiotic in just simply throwing out her identity and family ties out like that to a bunch of strangers. Jen knew she had her own secrets, but they would stay that way.

Ao, meanwhile, simply quietly listens to her. He highly doubted her employers even knew who he was- his name was only an alias, his past hidden away.

He looks over to Jen, studying her expression behind his mask.
