"No, it appears there is one." Ao steps over to Buki's side, placing his hand on the hilt of his sword in case Tomas attacked in order to draw.
"You've been gone a long while. Beastmen walk among humans as equals."

Buki glared at Tömas, his eyes flashing green as spiral energy begins to swell within him.

"Look here spirit. The world is not what you know any longer. People can change, no matter who their ancestors were, everyone deserves a second chance. If you disagree, I'll see what I can do about dispatching you from this world, and maybe after you're gone you'll be born into a world that tolerates racist ghosts. Until then, shut the HELL up and go find me the nearest Doctor, if you need so badly to be heard."

With that, Buki picks up Lina and begins to search for a doctor specializing in Spiral Energy.

Ao nods to Galen.
"You'd be best served going with him. You're barely standing."
Ao keeps an eye on Tomas and a hand on the hilt of his sword as he accompanies Buki to the clinic.

Tömas remains looking at the group in a half-confused, half-angry manner for quite some time. He keeps looking at the same spot, the axe made up of swirling green energy pulsing and fading as he digests these new viewpoints. At last he speaks, crushing the axe into green mist.

"I don't know what kind of sorcery they've inflicted upon you lot, but if you want to harbour them and heal them I won't stop you. You'll suffer the inevitable, as I did."

That said, he drifts off towards the village, his form shrinking down to a mere more of light once more.

Buki chuckles as the ghost speaks.

"Screw your inevitable. I make my own future, and the trappings of the past has no place in it. You're welcome to come with us once you realize there's more light in the future than the past could ever hold."

[Xantalos]

Tömas' voice echoes back through the tunnel.

"Come find me when you see sense. I will build a future. One free of the path that led us down into ruin so long ago."

"Anything can change."
Ao says it quietly, but with no less purpose behind it.

As Buki already picked up the girl, Jesse is left somewhat perfunctory.

"So, uh...I'm Jesse. Good to meet you all, I think?

"And does no one else find the racist ghost really weird?"

Ao shakes his head.
"There are worse things in the world.

And call me....Ao. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Name's Buki, for those who didn't hear earlier. Anyone know where a medic is? The bleeding is starting to get a bit.... what's the word... Worrying? Yeah that'll work. And the ghost is kinda weird... but he probably means well... He's just a bit backwards."

Jen puts her shield on her back, slowly walking out of the bar, and sitting back down against the wall right outside. Maybe she was wrong that this group was her chance of getting out of here.

Jesse's lip curls. She wasn't any sort of advocate for beastmen or nothin', but they were just a kid, fer cryin' out loud.

"Right. Because trying to kill a little girl when she's already hurt is 'meaning well'."

"I didn't mean for her, we've established he's a racist, and kinda stupid, ghost. He probably thought he was doing us a favor..."

Galen starts to head for the bar when he notices there were suddenly three bars in it's place. That pretty much convinces him to look for a doctor.
