".... So we gotta keep the event from happening.... but the obvious solution wrecks all of us, and pretty much kills Tomas."

And what's this obvious solution?

"No more Spiral Energy.... But we couldn't really enforce that across the galaxy without becoming the Anti-Spirals...."

Galaxy? You're thinking too small, it'd be the entire universe.
It's pretty obvious to me what we have to do: we just reinforce the universe so it won't collapse.

"So... This is a crazy theory, but what if we came up with some sort of stopgap? A way to limit spiral power? We could set them up in the places with the highest concentrations of spiral energy."
Reina thinks for a moment, and then cringes at a thought. "Oooor... And this is... not a great solution... We could go with Tömas's orginal plan and start a war? I hate myself for thinking this way, but the resulting population loss would lower the amount of spiral energy being used in the universe. Of course, that all depends on the size of the conflict, and even then it would really only last until the war is over."

[FelixSparks]

Buki kinda just glares at Litner. "We are NOT using the ghost's plan for a war. That'd be horrible and you should feel bad for even CONSIDERING it. The limiter.... is a more useable idea... But the problem is that we're reaching the energy cap on our universe. Once we hit a certain point, everyone's gonna expand into galaxies and everything goes kaput. We gotta find a way to make that stop.."

"Like I said, I hate myself for thinking of it that way. Forget I said anything."

Wait. Why not just build a new one?

"Build a.... New universe? Can we even DO that?!"

The team you idolized built a robot drill bigger than the universe by harnessing the energy of a few crushed galaxies, why not build a series of new universes to contain all the buildup?

[FelixSparks]

".... Yeah that's a fair point. So.... We could find an alternate timeline maybe. One that's a dead universe already....Funnel all the excess there..."
