"So... do we just wait for them to finish their talk or what?"

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

"Either that, or for Reina to fuck up, which is when I jump in."

((oh))
Reina gently but warily puts her hand on Darry's shoulder. "Darry... I get it. I really do. I know I'm maybe not as old as you, but I know what it's like to lose someone that close to you. You remember Dad? You remember how close we were? Even closer than I was with Mom. I... I don't know if you know... He passed away last year." Tears start to well up in her eyes, but she keeps her composure. "I couldn't get out of bed for weeks. I constantly felt like someone was twisting up my insides and I just wanted it all to stop. But then I realized... Mom was going through it too. I didn't have to do it alone." She wipes her eyes, sniffles. "Darry, it's OK to be sad. It's OK to be afraid. Just... Don't push people away when they're trying to help. You don't have to go through it alone. That's what Spiral Energy is about, right? Teamwork? Overcoming obstacles, even when things look bleak?"
She began to broke into tears, speaking in broken words:
"I-It's... it's hard. So hard. People were coun-counting on us. On Gimmy.. on me. What are we going to do? What are we going to do against an enemy that can do that?"

Buki exits his hiding spot, and sits down next to Darry, on the side Reina wasn't. He looks towards the old gunmen, letting out a long breath. It looked like Darry wasn't gonna go Anti-Spiral again, so he chose this time to speak up.

"Well, first thing you do is realize you're not alone." He gives her a small grin, and continues. "We're a team, aren't we? Any time you feel like you can't do it by yourself, you just call for help and someone will come running. No one can do everything alone. Not even Simon." He takes a small breath, and holds his hand out. Two lines of spiral energy begins to trace upwards, entwining around each other to create a spiraling helix pattern. "We're spiral beings. There's no one person who can do everything by themselves. So that's why we cling to each other, work together, and cooperate." The spiral energy winks away as Buki closes his hand into a fist and pounds it against his chest. "So if you ever feel like that again, just call for us. We'll come runnin." He grins again, wider as he stands and offers her his hand. "Isn't that the way Team Gurren rolls?"

Ao watches Buki rather silently.

A faint outline of a smile can be seen on their face.

Jesse exists.

Somewhere.

She's not there for the heart-breaking scene, though.

Probably lost.

Reina stands, smiling warmly, and also extends her hand. "For once, Buki, you actually said it better than I could. C'mon, Darry, we're family. We go through it together, no matter how bad it gets. Let's go."

Darry musters a smile, and grabs onto Reina's hands and stands. With a tight grip, she hugs both Buki and Reina.

"So what are you, a bum? Soldier?"

Buki's caught a bit off guard by the hug, but slowly puts his hand on her shoulder, patting her back gently. "I'm sure Lagann'll be happy to have you back! I uh... Kinda borrowed him." He grins sheepishly, and nods to the rest of the party. He began leading Darry and Reina back to the garage, where he had parked his Prince and Lagann.

Yuna just kind of... follows. She isn't really in the group, after all.

Eun has already sauntered off to go do other non-speech inducing stuff. Maybe she finds Galen?

Galen shrugs.
"Used to be a sort of fixer. Mostly fixing things with bandits. But now I'm a soldier."
