Suddenly, a dark figure leaps at him from the darkness; Galen jumps back in surprise.

"And that is why I am here. Nothing's gonna happen to you while I'm piloting us, I promise."

"Well... I suppose. How do I do it?"
"Who knows. Hey, how's Viral doing?"

Buki gives a wide grin, and begins the combination process of the Prince and Lagann.

"All you need to do is take hold of the handles inside the cockpit. The rest should come naturally."

Dave gets in the cockpit uncomfortable and grips the handles.
 "I'm not feeling it, Buki."

Buki tries moving the control in Lagann, thinking.

"Are you using your Spiral Power?"

"Injured, but he'll live."

"I don't have any, I don't think."
"I mean, how is he emotionally?"

Galen pulls a straight razor from his shoe and flicks it open getting ready to fend off an attack.

"Eh, that's fine. I'll pump enough for both of us! Now, the best way to pilot the Prince is to think of it as an extension of yourself. Think what you want to do. Then move yourself to do it, and the Prince should follow."

"He's a hard person to read."

Galen pulls a straight razor from his shoe and flicks it open getting ready to fend off an attack.

Several more dark figures pop out, all attacking him at once... dodging is starting to get difficult.

"Eh, that's fine. I'll pump enough for both of us! Now, the best way to pilot the Prince is to think of it as an extension of yourself. Think what you want to do. Then move yourself to do it, and the Prince should follow."

Suddenly, the Prince begins to move forward.
 "Woah!"
"Ah, okay... Thanks."

Buki grins.

"Congrats! You now know how to pilot! Now let's go find Darry.... Ah, you guys would know her better than I would... Any ideas?"
