Jen takes another drink.

Tömas is wandering about Kamina City. He's in a back alley somewhere, having stormed out in despondency after realizing he still can't actually drink alcohol. Sitting up against a wall, he looks almost like a regular old man but for the slight blue tinge to him. He's takes out the Anti-Spiral cube thing and holds it in front of his hand, having held onto it.

"Thing. You said that gunmen was generated by the Spiral Nemesis. How?"

Ao also firstly assists in repairing the Exalt with the mechanics- it seems despite his light frame, he can carry his weight around.

However, he is eventually relieved to get a break in the work- indeed, after witnessing death, they all needed it. So, Ao is currently sitting in the bar near Jen, adjusting the mask covering his face and looking down at a table.

"Many things are possible with spiral power."

[Xantalos]

"Anything is. But you said that this ... I suppose they're calling it Nemesis now - was generated by the spiral nemesis itself. Did you mean that it literally was just generated from the amount of Spiral power on the planet, or was it from an alien civilization, or what? Or do you not know and I should just end your existence?"

Jen blankly looks at Ao.

"Spiral energy in large quantities has been known to give things sentience, and also create matter. This is my reasoning behind my belief that the Spiral Nemesis creating it."

Jen blankly looks at Ao.

Ao looks up briefly, his expression still hidden by his mask, before looking back down.

"You don't seem like a drinker."

"I'm not."

"Yet you come to a bar."

[Xantalos]

"Spiral energy in large quantities has been known to give things sentience, and also create matter. This is my reasoning behind my belief that the Spiral Nemesis creating it."

"Suppose I see the reasoning behind that. The gunmen always seemed to get a bit too responsive when you spent too long in them.

One thing I never understood, though: why did you do what you did? I know why, of course, I was watching, but to stop your evolution, to become still and entropic ... the very thought goes against every fibre of my being, even moreso now that I am what I am. How'd you do it? How did you justify it to yourself?"

"Yet you come to a bar."

"It's better than standing outside."

"We chose the wellbeing of the universe over the wellbeing of ourselves. It is that simple. Ordinary spiral beings today could not fathom doing such a thing, because they strive to move forward; it is natural to do so for a spiral being."

[Xantalos]

"I can't comprehend it at all either. It goes beyond just tolerating beastmen in everyday society, which is insane enough by my standards. We all make sacrifices to better ourselves and our homes, that's just what we are, but destroying all that makes you who you are is a whole other level."

Tömas sighs. He's feeling unusually contemplative tonight.

"Did you ever think that you missed the point of it all? Your efforts may have extended the lifetime of the universe but would've made it a place just not worth living in anymore. Is a long but ultimately worthless life worth more than a short but meaningful and enjoyable one?"

Huh, someone's morose and making comparisons of the universe with himself and his existence.
