Will trees still grow on muddied smoothed floors?
« on: December 11, 2014, 01:29:13 pm »

I wish to build a water reservoir underground for my fortress but am concerned that once I breach the caverns trees will start growing on muddied floors and eventually clog the system. Will smoothing the reservoir stop this from happening? If not, is there any other way?

Thanks!

Trees don't grow on a 1z high reservoir. Well, they stay saplings at least.

I don't think trees will grow in a reservoir full of water as well.

Smoothing doesn't prevent tree growth as far as I know. You'll want to pave the floor with blocks.
