((Pendle is still relatively young, at around 35))

Once I'm finished being tear gassed, get a spare helmet and send the damaged one in for repairs. Begin checking Mark for any signs of what may have caused his seizure. Actually, for that matter, check up on all of the base members and ensure we're in good state.
Also, I'll vote for heading out to the cave straight away.

Heh, no. You're lying on the bed, almost blind (temporary) and drug addled. So going away from light would result you going under the bed.

Go to my mutant.

Allright, let's see what kind of monster you got here.

As an adult it is bigger than its unaltered counterparts, reaching shoulder height of 70 cm. Looks like its muzzle has grown longer than it was when you last time checked, but still a bit shorter than its native counterpart. It has obvious opposable thumbs, rest of its pawns look very flexible allowing it to grasp objects. It is still quadruped so its flexibility might be reduced during normal lifecycle. Tail is short as ever, ears are as well smaller and more round and larger skull indicates larger brain. It has now dark brown fur, short but thick. Its hind legs seem muscular as you intended. You can't tell if its teeths are stronger than normal but its likely.

(Mark is forty)
During the wait Mark focuses on cleaning and maintaining his gear

You don't have any personal weapons to maintain, but at least barracks is now perfectly clean.

Well, Mark doesn't have epilepsy, that was one of many things fixed when species wide genetic manipulation became available. You can't find any metabolic causes either, he's not drug addict nor any other obvious reasons. He's perfectly healthy. Only thing different from last time you checked him is new bacteria in his blood. Dave has recorded it into database with note "Related to BAQ-3?".

Hell, again with this shit. Let's not raise panic this time, considering what Dave discovered about those birds who assaulted Guni.

You also get Alex's neck permanently fixed so he can move his head as well as getting your colleague vaccinated.

Prepare to throw out anyone trying to mess with my vaccine.

Calm your tits, man. Nobody is messing with your precioussss, precioussss vaccine!

((110 and as childish as ever. Now with more insanity!))
Start studying Assholium Rectumas more in-depth reviewing what has already been found.

This bird is small and delicate, about 14 cm long from beak to tip of tail feathers. Its feathers are mostly azure on top side and turquoise on below, wings being exception with dull brown color. On its head is two small horns covered by soft feathers. It also has pair of mobile ears like mammals do, covered with short feathers. Its legs are as long as its entire body. Its lower jaw is essentially split in two, resulting three independantly moving mouth pieces.

Its absolutely most interesting part is a unique organ you have not seen anywhere else. It's basically super effective biological generator. Despite of its small size it can easily generate electric shock twice as strong as electric eel back in home. In addition it seems to have ability to regulate how much of voltage it releases at once, allowing it to limit strength of discharge.

This bird is a living generator and battery.

((Are you trying to reincarnate me?))
Go the opposite direction of the light.

In your attempt to escape afterlife you roll off the bed you were laying on and fall on hard floor. Ugh, doesn't feel like afterlife, not that it still bothers you. Those drugs are nice. Good thing you didn't hit your head again...

Also your eye sight is almost normal now. Keep

(( Dr. Helios is 53.))

Check up on everyone in the base and then set to work making sure everyone brings a personal first aid kit with them on this trip.

Pendle has packed up first aid kits ready for transport, but mostly for his personal professional use, it seems. So you gather few more and pack them for transportation.

People in the base are all well, Cromwell is suffering from coffeine induced hyperactivity, but that's will heal on its own. You find Adam trying to crawl under his bed. He mistook the ceiling light as the light commonly thought as afterlife. You explain him in simply words that he's very much alive and his eyesight will return in time.

So, Biology Unit 2 takes this opportunity to leave this cursed grassland and heads to east in intent of assisting Geology Unit 2 in their upcoming cave exploration. Officer Cromwell orders the ship to visit miliary escort ship on orbit, so he can drop off his ex-boss into proper holding cells. And hopefully for disciplinary training, because Theron makes his transport very noisy. Now that insane ex-boss is permanently out of his hands Cromwell gives permission to continue actual mission.

The mobile base of Geo 2 is located in small clearing in a valley. It is large enough to hold four bases, but there isn't much of extra space since they landed right on middle like jackass in a parking lot. At this point biologists finally realize they have a job to do and start instructing engineers how to modify lab container to fit their needs without taking all the space. And just in time because engineers from Geo 2 also start carrying all kinds of laboratory equipment in.

Scott Carlson, the only doctor of Geo 2, comes in and inspects how Pendle has prepared for trip. This jerk makes Pendle repack everything because he forgot to include few useful things. "Don't you talk back to me, boy! I was already pioneering medical science while you were still swimming in your dad's balls!" And to make it worse, Scott is EXACTLY RIGHT, and Pendle also knows it. It doesn't help his self-esteem at all.

It's a late night when containers are all ready for transporting so everyone agrees it is best to wait for morning. Next day starts with rain. It won't be much of problem once you get into the caves.

I was going to describe flight to the target area, but since I'm slow writer I decided to drop it. It's not like it matters much.

Anyway, your new outpost is set up next to large cliff, much like this one, but more vegetation on bottom and top. Ground here is uneven and definitely not suitable for entire base. The outpost consists of two transformed containers. One functions as a living space and a makeshift field hospital. The other one is a laboratory, divided equally between biologists and geologists. On outside is stacked supply crates containing food, water, weapons, tools and other stuff. Pick what you are going to take with you, because I emptied your inventory.

"Allright, we are all here. Nice to meet you all. I'm Cole Schultz, expedition leader of Geo 2. I have previous experience in spelunking so please do follow my instructions all the time. I'll distribute rope and other tools for everyone before we go in.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask."

Say "Hep" if you did read text below!

Nobody really answered when I asked if you are going to be part of cave mission. Mastahcheese, killerhellhound and flameboy99 I remember indicating their interest so they are ok. So say now if you wish to stay behind on the base ship, because otherwise you are stuck in the caves and not getting back before next night.

Actually don't say "Hep", say "I agree with EULA."

Yourmaster, GUNINANRUNIN, mastahcheese and Haveroszaur. How old is your character?

I agree with EULA.

After his meeting with Dr. Scott Carlson, Pendle could be found reading through the Hippocratic Oath, trying to find a possible loophole that might allow him to bring harm to Carlson. Finding no such error, he slinks off to the supplies, and begins packing for the expedition.
Pendle begins packing the basics; a spare envirosuit helmet, a sidearm for himself, first aid supplies, food, water, an air quality meter, and something to communicate with the Infirmary (Assuming that isn't integrated into the envirosuit. Also, grab an envirosuit on the off chance that I'm not already wearing one.)

I agree with EULA

Cromwell has no damn idea why he is in charge of security, being only 27. He blames Theron for the inevitable future failure of the security team.

Make sure my damn enviro-suit in on. Ask the engineering team if there's any way they can feasibly make an armored one.
Equip an arm-mounted grappling hook, grab my cloth-fine net gun, and a Taser.
Get myself an assault rifle, and an emergency med-kit with some extra doses of the doc's vaccine, because I'm paranoid and hopped up on coffee.
Equip a real pistol on a real holster that is strapped to me.
Take some food and water, and 4 extra flashlights.
Take a thermos of coffee.
Also, grab a dart pistol with a weak tranquilizer. Enough to put a reasonably fit human to sleep for a few hours.
