((You're not going to respond to me slapping you or yelling at you..?))

Not to mention he asked you to explain what happened to you. I prefer to not write a dialog for PCs when it might alter other players reactions, but I can whip up a short summary for you.

How advanced is cybernetics?

Cybernetics are attached directly to to nerves, so almost complete sensory feedback is present. Sense of pain is usually reduced a little in civilian models, but touch, pressure and temperature senses are in full power. With nerve connections they are also very dexterous and can easily crush apples between artificial muscles if configured to maximum strength. Cybernetics are well enough disguised so you can go few days with it while waiting for biological replacement. So better than today.

Oh that's my mistake, I missed that he reacted to me.

"Please, you should know well enough women aren't really where my interests lie. And besides, situations such as these are routine in my line of work."
Get her clothes, and wait for her to dress. Request her account on what happened out there.
Tell him what happened.

Guni finishes her story and begins speculating. I killed the dogs, they're not what got me, something else did, the birds.. If it was a neurotoxin I'd be dead by now, and we know something didn't just hit me really hard since I'd have obvious contusions or a concussion. Find the area on my neck/head where the thing hit me, look at my arm where it was struck. A paralytic then? I instantly lost all sensation when I was hit. Those birds were probably mad I was climbing their tree.

Try to remember exactly what the bird looked like, get some paper and sketch a likeness. Swab the area where it stung me please doctor, there's probably a remnant of the substance that knocked me out.

"Its getting dark and the radio signal is moving away. I'm heading back to base."

return to base take off my gear, check on Guni after making sure she is fine go and relax with a stiff drink after a long day

Clouds are getting thick and rainy looking so you give up with wild chase and return to the base. Guni is up and is having deep discussion with doctor about if shredding her clothes was absolutely necessary. You knock yourself out in cafeteria.

Get back to base, drop off all the shit, and get some damn dinner.

Damn day would have been much better if Theron had stayed out of drinks and Guni away from the forest. Idiots. Now you have bear all responsibility. And even that radar problem went unsolved... Well, dinner solves your problems for rest of the day. It's so good it raises your mood for remainder of the day.

"You guys are messing with genetics? If we still have the prisoner, we can test on him."
Take a blood and tissue sample for later experments and check the wolf's jaws.

Samples taken. Its jaws are developed for tearing chunks of flesh.

Spoiler: Skull (click to show/hide)

Guni blinks awake, feeling quite bleary and altogether awful. She sees Pendle staring at her and when she realizes she's back on the ship she is overcome with relief, but that quickly changes as she slowly sits up and realizes the state of her clothes.. Be taken aback! Slap Pendle! You prick! Get me some goddamn clothes! Eyes down! Cover up.

Guni is taken aback by lack of her clothes and tries to slap Pendle. The doctor, who is accustomed bewildered behaviour of his patients, gracefully avoids her attempts. He gives her a simple hospital gown which she wears fast.

She tells him how she entered into the forest with intent to catch a bug and to stay near her flyer, and how she ended up too far of it. She elaborates her encounter with dog creatures, her attempt to escape and failure to do so.

Guni finishes her story and begins speculating. I killed the dogs, they're not what got me, something else did, the birds.. If it was a neurotoxin I'd be dead by now, and we know something didn't just hit me really hard since I'd have obvious contusions or a concussion. Those birds were probably mad I was climbing their tree.

You didn't get very good view of them, but you draw best sketch you can. They were small, maybe 10 to 15 centimeters long? Light blue color and longish, oddly twisted bill. You can't remember bill clearly but it was really odd. And... horns? Your sketch won't win any awards, but it is good enough.

Steal blood of Guni with a syringe for testing. I will stay all night looking at our samples and making theories about whether could the land around could be terraformed.
No actions towards Guni, at least on my end of the conversation.

As for the stealing a syringe of blood thing, turn him around and push him out of the medbay.

You visit Guni in infirmary and ask a vial of her blood for testing. The doctor refuses your request politely but firmly and throws you out. Infirmary is a place of healing, but also extremely scary when it knows that you are uninvited guest. All its surgery and examination tools are very effective weapons in hands of robot that is basically entire infirmary.

There's two samples no one is studied yet so you go ahead and start invasive studies. First one is the insect Guni catched; it is much like a grasshopper. Its exoskeleton has smooth texture like a skin and is capable of changing colors like chameleon in addition of being extremely hard, rivaling strength of steel. Its head is odd; the mouth located between vertically arranged eyes. Its reproductional strategy seems to be both asexual and sexual, as it has both male and female organs. You run standard tests for bacterias and find none that is harmful to it or humans. The insect is in perfect health. And now dead.

Other one is the aquatic creature doctor catched, you have not heard him bragging about it beyond mentioning it one. As doctor noted before, it has no eyes and only one orifice which triples as a mouth, anus and ink ejection. It has five cm long radula, quite long for a creature with total body length of 20 cm, apparently used for scaping algae or similar off rocks. No wonder it didn't care about your flesh samples. Its skin is very sensitive for vibrations, so it can easily navigate without eyes, not that fishes use eyes that much anyway. It also doesn't have lungs or gills, it gets all oxygen it needs through its skin, particularly through those flappy bits on its front part and base of its tail. Suprisingly it has a single common feature with the insect, a skeleton with strength of steel. Dave would love to hear more about it, you bet.

There isn't much to do in sense of terraforming planet. The oxygen percentage is higher here than on Earth, so it maybe something could be done about it?

Cool. Just a note on the offchance we want to design and quickly breed a super race of animals can that be a setting?
Clone the crazy man but mess with his dna to have the eye gene and ribs gene.

(Are you trying to get infrared vision, four eyes or both?)

Hopefully new head of security does not consider this as experimenting with his ex-superior, otherwise you will be in trouble. Armed with enviro-suit, tissue sampler and tranq pistol you head to the container he's kept in. It was good decision to bring tranquilizers with you as he attacks you as soon as doors open. Securing a piece of his flesh you head to the infirmary cloning room and start working with you ethically questionable research.

It is already midnight when you finish your work and let the clone grow. Check it later tomorrow.

Night comes and folks go sleep. György is lucky to witness sight outside of the ship while he's walking around and thinking his theories. Entire grassland around the ship is sparkling with flashes of light, like rays of sun reflecting from ripples of water. For a moment this beautiful and mesmerizing sight wipes his thoughts about terraforming the planet.

Guni developes slight fewer that makes her wake up during night.

And morning comes without hint of clouds, just like meteorology units promised.

Mark wakes up in cafeteria. His back hurts because of his bad sleeping posture.

Spoiler: Map (click to show/hide)

Currently we have following samples on ship:
* Springy grass (Partially studied)
* Soil samples (Studied) - Awaiting reaction from Geo teams.
* Seven corpses of large four eyed birds (Studied)
* Aquatic creature. (Studied)
* Two corpses of black wolf-creature. (Studied)
* Grasshopper-type insect. (Studied)
* Possibly contaminated blood samples of black wolf-creatures.
* Additional set of blood and tissue samples from wolf-creatures.

Currently doing following ethically viable experiments:
* Infrared vision eyes. Using Dave's DNA as a base. Ready today.
* Infrared/four eyed full body human clone with fused ribs. Using Theron's DNA as a base. Basic results visible later today.

Completed and unchecked things:
* Vaccine against two bacterias found on grass.

Send out a general message.

"Dangerous avian or possibly insectoid creature's presence is confirmed. Appears to live in the trees in the forest. Attacked Guni, causing instantaneous paralysis. Approximately five centimeters in length, bright blue, possibly horned. May have caused a burn that afflicted Guni. May cause more symptoms; we'll have to wait until they manifest in Guni before anything can be confirmed. I propose a new policy; nobody enters the forest without being escorted by at least one security team member, excluding themselves. Comms officer, may I request you send a general report about these creatures to nearby bases, as they do represent a significant threat to the operation?"

Jackson woke up and cracked his neck.
It was time to be the damn head of security.

He flipped his comm to send to everyone.
"All away-team members are to be in the briefing room in 30 minutes. No exceptions."
He then flipped over to the channel to access engineering.
"Engineering team, I have a request that needs filled ASAP. Get me a grenade launcher to fire a concussive grenade, like a flashbang. A large one. Mount it on a rover. Then get me some netguns and load them with the tightest nets we've got. We're catching small prey today. Get it ready on the platform down as soon as you're done."
Medical channel.
"Update on Guni's condition? How's she holding? Did you eggheads remember to being her something to eat? Also check on the ex-security head. Make sure he's still breathing."

((both))
Do some dna decryptions on both the fish and grasshopper. Have the computer check for abnormal similarities.

((Shall we retcon that Jonathan got something to eat last night?))

"Guni has been released, for the moment, as she has displayed no additional symptoms once recovering from paralysis. I've yet to see her this morning; going to check up on her as we speak. I wouldn't know if she's eaten or not, of course, as she's no longer been in the med-bay."
Check up on Guni's condition. Upon seeing that she has a fever, take a blood sample and run more tests. Ask if she's suffered any other symptoms. Give her a dose of an acetaminophen.

Another general message.
"Guni has begun suffering from a fever. This may be linked to either bacterial or viral infections, the avian or insectoid creatures (Which we should really come up with a name for), or possibly the wolf-like creatures populating the forest."

((So you don't have to look it up, Tylenol is an example of an acetaminophen. Also, WebMD has turned out to be an invaluable tool for roleplaying this character.))

We can call the dogs Biggus Dickus and the birds Assholium Rectumas, seriously fuck the forest. Take whatever the doc pushes. After this I should just go to my room and turn the cold on, get some rest.. But we have to solve this, the chief needs to go find that bird. Go to the lab, draw some of my own blood while watching Froggy Ninja do his thing. Maybe I can think of something to do with this, the toxin must be in here somewhere.

"If you think it's safe to not need her to be in quarentine, I'll trust your judgement. Do not let her leave the base, for her sake and ours. And tell her to get some damn rest. That's an order."
He wasn't sure if he technically held any authority over them. Normally, he knew he wouldn't, but things changed when people got injured or became potential threats. He seriously hoped she hadn't become one.
Head down to engineering and see if any of those good-for-nothing lazy bastards are actually working on my damn request.

In a si-fi game everything is a potential threat

get some breakfast and remember not to have as much to drink next time. Clean up and study Guni's suit camera to try to get a view on why she took off her helmet and hopefully a shot of what knocked her out
