For the second movie, imagine everything's a bit condensed, the only member to die in space is Kittan, and EVERYONE GETS A GIANT CUSTOM MECHA DURING THE FIGHT AGAINST THE ANTI-SPIRAL MECH. It's pretty awesome.

Basically, the movie's ending is the show's, only everyone except Kittan and Nia lived and everyone (except Kittan) got a new mecha.
