Honestly if I hadn't already given him an LI in his backstory and the fact that it'd be creepy as hell for them to actually be a pairing I'd probably ship them too.
As it is I have some elements of the potential there planned for my character development.

I still see them bonding over tobacco and bar brawls. All good friends have their disagreements, after all. Not like they'll agree on everything.

Plus, as we've seen, they feed on each other's anger.
