That is a seriously amazing picture. Wow.

On a related note, my fortress was just attacked by a serpent made of vomit with deadly dust. I figured it would be no big deal and sent the marksdwarves to put it down, which they did after it poofed a couple clouds of dust over them. I was a bit worried about the effects, but my dwarves showed no immediate response. Then all the sudden every exposed dwarf collapsed with full body numbness and nerve death and suffocated halfway back to the main stairwell. -1 squad of marksdwarves. I'm having trouble replacing them fast enough at this point.

What the hell is going on here? Did one of my dwarves inadvertently make an artifact that emits a neurotoxin excreting megabest mating call? Was the first one I killed its brother, and it came seeking vengeance? Is it something in the water?

That was enough though. If your dwarves can't dodge those, they are just going to lie there and die.

The only one I've gotten which actually had nasty breath/dust/spittle/anything was kinda "off-screened" by the most heroic little bearded fucker I've ever had the honor of building a massive engraved tomb for.

Noticed miasma in the wagon entrance tunnels and was baffled until I got the cursor over a dorf and found this:

Damn thing got in somehow and before it managed to do anything involving the horrible shit it got all over Atir, which would have been absolutely catastrophic, he took it down with his pick, saving the fort at the cost of his life.
