Can you tell us how far it is from the supply point? I was wondering why in the radio-broken situation you couldn't go talk to the supply ship at the next drop, instead of waiting.

Say the helicopter and radio aren't working (or for some other reason help can't come), wouldn't you say his presence drastically increases your chances of surviving until contact is reestablished or the helicopter is repaired? Worst case scenario you guys have to wait a year until anyone even realizes something is wrong when the boat makes it's biannual trip and finds the supplies they dropped off last time were never picked up.

It certainly doesn't is what I would say if I really felt like arguing about it, but I'm not going to press the issue since extra people is always more fun.

The best part about having an Antarctic Guide with nothing to do, I think, is that one can order him around and give him any old odd job to fulfill in the meantime, of course. Or at least keep him highly sauced and have him provide the others company in the rec room when nothing important needs to be done, similarly to the predicted role of the helicopter piloting crew. So even if he's not going to be needed for anything at all, he'll still be entertaining to mess around with.

* GUNINANRUNIN continues hamfistedly justifying stuffing you guys in a tiny base in the middle of nowhere for RP fun.

You'll probably most likely definitely not be in any danger at all. Maybe.

It's 1989 in the game. So your char would be about 60 years old.

E: The age thing is objectively okay, but just to clarify, my real concern is that your character has so little modern combat experience. The US Army is more likely to send someone with more experience, in more recent conflict. Literally anyone would probably be a better choice for the job than this hypothetical person, but ideally this person would be a veteran, and one of the best soldiers in the world.
I'm a Physician so i'm not meant to fight anyone, baring a sneak attack by Russian snow troops

Honesty i missed the date and did my sheet based on a 50's or 60's cold war setting, still i'm a doctor so age is not a barrier.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Quick question, how are we supposed to converse? I'm guessing through a spoiler addressed to the respective person? I get the feeling we'll have little idea where the other players are most of the time.

Include it your action spoiler along with everything else since usually I need to make sure everyone in the same room is hearing that conversation as well, there'll be lots of mini-updates between every full hour update. If someone's talking I'll be sure to keep it moving quickly.

I'll be sure you always notice when someone leaves a room at least, but of course you won't be able to keep track of everyone at once. As base commander it wouldn't be unreasonable to require people to notify you before leaving camp. A daily meeting or schedules can also help you know where people are and what they're doing.

Don't worry about it now Mastahcheese, but just for the future, it's totally okay to edit your actions if I haven't updated yet.
