Evelyn brought her horse to a stop as the others did, gaze fixed on the man who'd instructed the group to do so. "I didn't hear anything peculiar." She commented in her commonly hushed tone, idly adjusting herself atop her horse.

Jariko's staff lit up. A relatively useless gesture, seeing that the party is already looking around in broad daylight. The forest is hushed, and apart from the lack of birds and critters which was due to the evacuation by the University there is nothing extraordinary.

Elias gulped, and wordlessly signaled the group to continue, his eyes trained on a pine tree. It's starting to become apparent that choosing a senile old man as a guide wasn't the best of idea.

"Is your mind going, old man?" she called, her voice harsh. "Or do you fear the trees will reach down and attack us?"
