Assuming Runik sends a expedition with the agent and the captain and a unit I will I go on the expedition to seek out and stop the cause of the killings with Runik as the Noble. I'll try to negotiate peace with any who would bring harm, but if they prove impossible to bring to reason I'll do whatever needs to be done to slay them.

I'm going for the disappearances in the hills mission. I'll be going as an agent, carrying the knife, to find them, and I'll bring my captain and 1 unit of HI to deal with them. Crips is coming as a noble.

I'm trying to put together an expedition to head northwest of [territory#4] to explore and most probably claim the land there. The last guy said he was a mercenary (and then never spoke to me again ), so I was planing to offer him money, but we can also figure out a partnership deal, if that's more to your liking.
We can either go with 3 people (you as the military/scouting expert, me as the bookkeper/cartographer (I do a mean sketch) and a heavy infantry for a protection detail) or, should we find another participant, as a full 5 person team (which means 1 turn claims)

An emissary with a small honour guard of soldiers arrives at the manor with half a dozen bound men.  He introduces himself as Francesco
Capelli of Agerl's Mercenaries, with a collection of would-be bandits captured from the forest.  He tells you a story of how they tracked them down in their hideout in the woods, capturing the outlaw John Sadler and several men he was training in the bow.

There's just one problem.  The man he claims to be Sadler?  Isn't.  Bronn recognises him as a man named Rourke, a sailor who got abandoned by his ship after being drunk and disorderly.  He's been dressed up in Sadler's clothes and his beard cut like him, but you knew Sadler by sight.  This isn't the war veteran living out in the woods.  This is a drunken sot posing as a decoy.

If we can find a 3ed member to join us, that would be preferable, however, I could always send both of my divisions. If we do find a third person, I suggest that we attempt claiming at least two provinces, with ownership for all of them being shared.

As to the the claiming of 2 provinces: who did you have in mind to invite? I want at least one of the parties to have 5 members so we could claim quickly. Also, if you are going to send both of your infantries (and I only send myself), how about I contribute their food rations?

At the moment, I personally dont know of any other group to have join us, as I was mostly just spitballing.
We could always attempt sending forces to two provinces, splitting equally them.  From the few maps I have seen of this land, it appears that an area south of the provinces of (4) and (sorta 5) would do well for this, although I personally would prefer an area with coastal access, sutch as the area near the provinces of (2) and (3)

Arriving at the mayor's abode, von Hoffenburg knocked upon the man's door and waited for the mayor to greet him. The noble looked around, hoping that Longroth would arrive soon.

Alexander looked at the man with a eye brows lowered. After frowning at Capelli, he thanked them for their service and offered them a few bottle of wine before sending them off to their master; proper payment would be discussed with Rurik himself. After they left, he sent most of the 'bandits to await judgement in the prisons, leaving him and Rourke alone.

"My dear Rourke, I truly hope you were not a voluntary member of Saddler's band. If you were, I would be forced to call for a trial and you surely know that under Elbrethian law, I would be forced to hang you till dead? And since you do appear to be dressed as Saddler himself, I can very much assure you that it would be quite simple to get a guilty verdict?" After letting that sink in, he continued, "Do you know anything that could perhaps be of use to me?"

As you know, I require men to investigate the lands beyond our colony. The stress of rule has left me unable to properly map or scout these outlying areas and with rumours of dangerous beasts at our frontiers, it is now more important than ever to know what lies beyond. As such, I can offer a reward of 3 gold for each region successively scouted. This is of course, negotiable. Furthermore, I must recommend that should any...trouble is encountered, that peaceful methods be used before you unsheathe your swords. I would hope this message is sealed when it arrives to you.

I do have a job for you but it seems you and your men have decided to deal with these bandits instead. I must ask you that you do not interfere unless I ask you personally as it seems your men have arrested a drunken ex-sailor. Saddler has unfortunately, escaped your men. Unless you can guarantee that your men can be more subtle, I must empathise that you must not interfere. I've not told your men of their mishap as their capture of these bandits may be of use; you may tell them yourself if you wish.

As he waited for a drink, Alex began the discussions. "I'm afraid I haven't had the pleasure to extend a formal congratulations for your victory at the elections. To be quite honest, I wasn't sure the people were serious when they started talking about electing a mayor. We, after all, our only a small colony...But I assume they've made a good decision in choosing you, Mr. Sackett?"
