I've been thinking it over and talked with Powder about it in the IRC, and I've honestly really questioned if the house is worth the effort. At most its probably a +1 stat boost item. I'd rather we not have a chance of screwing up this first map and play it safe, so I've turned around to thinking Powder has a good idea with his idea.

If it works, great. If it doesn't, eh, we consolidate what we have and bunker down for when the guys south rush us.

Goddammit.
God. Dammit.

Now we've got two badly wounded characters and one down, PLUS we're going to miss out on an item. PLUSPLUS that wounded bandit will still be able to run around and potentially do damage before getting taken down.

We really should have let Xan's character do the job. It would have been a guaranteed kill and the situation would be much better.

You don't get another half... Unless you mean moving somewhere, but even that is typically not allowed, and it's for the best you stay back.

Also seriously guys??? Why not just rescue Zahir and let Laz deal with things. That kinda a completely stupid move...

Giglamesh, we were discussing something in the IRC:

I was wondering if the allied soldier rescued by Tiruin's character could "un-rescue" himself during the Allied Phase. There aren't really any rules for or against it, but it has been done in previous FEFs. Obviously the soldier wouldn't be able to move or attack, but it would help simplify things for the next turn.

For the record, the relevant text from the playbook:

However, there are penalties when Rescuing allies: so long as you are carrying another ally, your Speed and Skill stats are both reduced by 1/2,
rounded up (so 10 Skill would become 5, and 9 Speed would also become 5, since that's 4.5 rounded up). Also, Rescuing an ally counts as your action for that round, meaning that any unspent Movement points are lost, and you cannot attack an enemy and then rescue an ally on the same turn. Likewise, dropping an ally, or letting them down from your mount, takes up an action of both participants, so the rescued ally cannot move after being put down.

It nowhere mentions that people can unrescue themselves and the fact that dropping them takes up both actions implies, at least to me, that you can't unrescue yourself. In the actual games you can't unrescue yourself which is what these rules are based off of, so *shrug*

Anyway, current ideas of what to do with Laz and Gallus: Gallus can perform Jazz, and Laz takes a pot shot at the soldier, with Jazz similarly taking a pot shot at someone.

Or, Laz can move one south and vuln Jazz, with Gallus then performing Tir's character so she can drop the soldier.
