Is there a bug with retiring/reclaiming
« on: December 04, 2014, 01:16:57 pm »

So ptb_ptb and I are doing a succession fort. We are on the second fort that after being retired and reclaimed (we play as an adventurer before passing it to the other person) crashes consistently.

We have been able to play after zipping up the file and just passing it, but not after retiring/reclaiming. I'm not 100% sure that is the issue tho.

Here is the fort:

I believe there is a bug (causing an instant crash) when you retire and adventurer in a fort and then bring it out of retirement.

I haven't experienced this.

I didn't retire the adventurer inside the fort or even near it. My adventurer died to boogeymen.

This has happened twice so far, it seems caravans trigger it after you reclaim a retired fort.

It sucks because now we can't do the adventure mode part of the game.

I'm not sure but when I played as an adventurer and visited my fort, it was filled with merchants (lots of them).
And a wagon half hung over a wall. I don't know how it got inside in the first place, my entrances were all 1x1.

Hostile creatures can also "teleport" to random position when you unretire. I had a demon right inside on of the bedroom...it was supposed to be on another side of the bridge.

There are too many possibilities especially when you are using dfhack to do things which are not supposed to be done in a normal game.
